The girl group Blackpink may be dominating the world when it comes to their popularity but the most talked about fact in the K-pop industry is the way YG Entertainment manages, or in clear words, mismanages the biggest K-pop girl group in the world. From time-to-time fans of the group, Blinks, have expressed their displeasure with the label in terms of their ability to provide proper comebacks for the members.

Blackpink last released ‘THE ALBUM’ their first-ever studio album in 2020, nearly five years after their debut in the industry. Rookie groups like Treasure from the label, who made their debut in 2020, have three single albums, one mini-album as well as a studio album on the way while despite debuting years ahead of their sunbae's (Seniors), Blackpink only has three single albums, two mini-albums, and one studio album released. Fans of the four-member girl group are now fuming as YG Entertainment continues to disregard Blackpink’s comebacks while focussing on a rumored “new girl group".

Is YG planning a Blackpink comeback?

While fans do not have any official statement from YG Entertainment about the future activities of the group, a rumor is floating around the internet that a leaked comeback schedule from YG Entertainment showed many new group activities for Blackpink. The leaked schedule from YG Entertainment had not only listed that Blackpink would make a comeback with a new album in 2022 but also noted that the four-member girl group would soon go on a World Tour after the rumored comeback.

In the said leaked news, it was also revealed that YG Entertainment is planning a host of activities for artists under the label. It was announced that YG Entertainment is planning to launch another girl group after the success of the rookie group such as Treasure and the debut could take place in the first half of 2022.

The news had caused many fans to wonder why YG Entertainment is not making any official statement to pacify, now extremely enraged fans of Blackpink and also questioned the label’s audacity of bringing in a new girl group while it continues to mismanage Blackpink, disregarding the group as well as solo music-related activities of Jennie and Jisoo.

Where is Jennie? What about Jisoo's solo debut?

An ongoing question in the Blackpink fandom is always related to the musical capabilities of the members of Blackpink and YG Entertainment’s continued neglect of the members’ talents. Fans have pointed out over and over again how Jisoo is the only member of the group who has not had a solo debut. Blinks have also blatantly pointed out that other than her single album ‘SOLO’ that released in November of 2018 with one track, Jennie also has not had any other solo releases, while Rose and Lisa are not far better with only two and three singles released respectively over the past year.

With Blackpink on a hiatus for 15 long months after their October 2020 release ‘THE ALBUM’ with the lead single titled ‘Lovesick Girls’, fans of the group cannot take any more disrespect as they promise to boycott the label if YG fails to straighten its act. The fans have gone so far as to also contribute financially to support Blackpink’s comeback activities if YG Entertainment is unable to generate enough funds for the same.
