There's only so much a man can take before he starts fighting back against his oppressors. Jefferson Pierce / Black Lightning (Cress Williams) is done letting the A.S.A do whatever they want in his city and he's ready to fight back. After the death of the young boy Tavon Singley (Jasun Jabbar), there's a sense of anger and grief that's seeped into the hearts of every citizen of Freeland. Tavon was a beloved figure and his death has already caused one protest by his fellow students.

The CW released a sneak peek for 'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 6 and it shows the Pierce family, minus Jennifer Pierce / Lightning (China Anne McClain), leaving Tavon's funeral. The family is clearly in mourning and Jefferson looks truly shaken by the death of his student. In the clip, we see reporter Jamillah Olsen (Adetinpo Thomas) asking Jefferson what he would like to tell Tavon if he could. His response doesn't directly attack the A.S.A but he does make it clear that he will not let Tavon's death go in vain.

Jefferson has so far been too scared of bringing the A.S.A's vengeance down on his family to fight back against the corrupt government organization. As much as he wants to resist the A.S.A, he's so far been far too terrified that they may imprison his daughters if he did. However, it's getting really hard for Jefferson to avoid confronting the A.S.A, especially after they beat him up in front of his school. He has now very publicly been wronged by the agency and whether he likes it or not, the people are looking to him for a response.

It's about time the citizens of Freeland started fighting back against the A.S.A, though the Markovian invaders are still a threat. Considering all the atrocities that the A.S.A has committed in the name of protection, perhaps the best thing would be if Freelands's citizens themselves take to the streets to fight off both the Markovians and the A.S.A.

'Black Lightning' Season 3 Episode 6 will air on The CW on November 18.
