'Below Deck Sailing Yacht': Fans laud Daisy for not promoting Ashley to second stew

While Ashley was busy playing games to secure the promotion, Daisy began noticing her third stew's obsession with becoming the second stew

At the beginning of the charter season, chief stew Daisy Kelliher sat her two stews down and divided the work between them. Based on their prior work experience, Daisy decided to make Gabriela Barragan the second stew and Ashley Marti the third stew. Since she was the lowest in the hierarchy, Ashley was far from pleased with her title and began scheming and plotting to get promoted to the second stew position.

Ashley's tactics briefly worked as Gabriela was so worn down by the mind games and toxicity, that she decided to quit 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht'. Just when Ashley thought that the coast was clear for her big promotion, new stew Scarlett Bentley was thrown into the mix. Though Ashley initially felt threatened by the new stew,  she calmed down once she learned that Scarlett had very limited work experience. Ashley was very confident about getting her promotion, so she confidently approached Daisy asking if any decision was made about it.

While Ashley was busy playing games to secure the promotion, Daisy began noticing her third stew's obsession with becoming the second stew and felt that it might not be for the right reasons. So, Daisy explained to Ashley that she wouldn't be promoted to second stew,  but would be on the same level as Scarlett as a junior stew. When Ashley tried explaining that she had more work experience and knowledge so she deserved the promotion, Daisy immediately shut her down. The chief stew expressed that becoming a second stew wasn't about bossing people around, but working as a team. Since Ashley didn't display any team-player skills, Daisy wasn't sure if she was the right fit for the second stew position.

While Ashley looked unhappy with Daisy's decision, fans however were pretty thrilled with it. Many fans took to Twitter to praise Daisy's decision. A fan tweeted, "Daisy wasn’t perfect in how she was handling this situation when Gabby was there, but her handling Ashley tonight? Amazing. #BelowDeckSailing." "Daisy made the right choice making them juniors. Ashley clearly isn’t ready to be in a position of power #belowdecksailing," wrote a fan. "I love that Daisy said “nope. You’re not second stew.” flat out and Ashley is gonna lose her mind. #belowdecksailing," commented a fan. "Daisy is a real leader!!!! #belowdecksailing #BelowDeck," declared a fan. "I’m laughing so hard at Daisy not giving Ashley second stew when she was sooo sure she’d get it. #belowdecksailing," added a fan.

Fans also trolled Ashley for her foiled plans of becoming the second stew. A fan observed, "Obsessed with being second” is no way to go through life, Ashley #belowdecksailing." "Ashley spent all that time running off the other girl and she still did not get second stew because she sucks. #belowdecksailing," pointed out a fan. "I am REALLY sick of Ashley with this second stew crap!! She is just evil and jealous of every girl. She needs to have SEVERAL seats already!!! #belowdecksailing," expressed a fan.
