The latest episode of 'Batwoman' titled 'Through the Looking Glass' ended without a promo of the upcoming episode leading to questions about when the episode would air next. Episode 17 'A Narrow Escape' has its original air date set on March 29, but the absence of the promos may mean we're looking at a delay.

While The CW has not officially confirmed the possibility at the moment, the other Arrowverse hit shows, 'The Flash and 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' are on a two-week break. The episodes will not air on March 24 and March 31 and the reason may be the network could look at spacing out completed episodes after production on some of The CW shows have had to be stopped following coronavirus concerns.

The official synopsis of the upcoming episode is available. It reads: "WHO’S A HERO NOW? – Batwoman (Ruby Rose) encounters a new challenge when an old villain resurfaces, testing the heroics of Gotham’s most stand-up citizens. Alice’s (Rachel Skarsten) limits are tested."

At this stage, it is safe to speculate that Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) will fend off a familiar villain but will also be dealing with a challenge never seen before, while Elizabeth Kane (Rachel Skarsten) faces a test that will put her through the wringer. This has been teased over the last few episodes and hopefully, the upcoming episode will explain the whole storyline in detail. 'Supergirl', the show following 'Batwoman' on Sundays, had no promo as well leading to the question of whether both shows episodes could be delayed.

Earlier, TVLine suggested that 'Batwoman', 'The Flash' and 'Supergirl' may look at having shortened seasons. The article said 'The Flash' had completed filming for 20 out of 22 episodes prior to the shutdown. For 'Supergirl',  21 out of 22 episodes were shot and completed prior to the announcement. 'Batwoman', however, had shot only 19 of the 22. Again, this shortened episode theory is pure speculation.

'Batwoman' airs Sundays 8 pm ET on The CW followed by 'Supergirl' at 9 pm. We'll update this article as soon as there is an official confirmation from the network about the air date.
