ATLANTA, GEORGIA: 'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7 is all set to premiere on February 9, 2024, on WEtv at 9 pm ET. Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird and her husband Joshua Efird or Josh appear to have been struggling while parenting their four children, as seen in a sneak peek released by WEtv.
This season will cover all the ups and downs the family has faced, right from dealing with Anna Cardwell's cancer detection to her sudden plan to get married. This does not stop here as the drama escalates to Alana Thompson, the youngest daughter preparing to get admission to a college while accusing Mama June Shannon of stealing her funds.
In a clip released by WEtv on January 25, we see a tired Lauryn asking her eldest daughter Ella Grace to stop jumping on the bed. The camera then shifts to her husband Josh trying to help Ella's brother Bentley stand up straight in the kitchen. Lauryn 'Pumpkin' seems to have a headache while trying to even after her twins. She is even seen taking care of Alana Thompson, whose custody she has since 2019.

As per their social media, defying all the odds and struggles, Lauryn 'Pumpkin' and Josh are still together. In the trailer, Lauryn is seen bursting on Mama June for stealing Alana's college funds. She is even seen celebrating with her family on the high school graduation of her sister Alana Thompson.
How did Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird meet Joshua Efird?
Even though it is not very clear how they met. Lauryn 'Pumpkin' started dating Joshua B. Efird, a mechanic in March 2015 she was a high school student back then. He proposed nine months after dating, two days before Christmas 2015 at a local Bay Breeze seafood restaurant. At that time Mama June told TMZ that they were taking things slow and they would get married after Lauryn turned 18. Viewers criticized June for allowing Lauryn 'Pumpkin' to get engaged so young as she was one month away from her 16th marriage and Josh was 19. Despite that Lauryn surprised everyone when she revealed her pregnancy in August 2017. However, neither Josh nor Mama June was happy about her getting pregnant so young. Lauryn gave birth to a baby girl named Ella Grace on December 8, 2017. The couple tied the knot in a Las Vegas wedding on April 30, 2018, when Ella was four months old.

In the trailer of 'Mama June: Family Crisis' Season 7 the parents are seen struggling to keep up with the four children, two of them are toddlers and the twins are babies. In 2019, Lauryn got sole custody of Alana (then only 16 years old) as June Shannon was arrested for drug possession along with her then-partner Geno Doak. June Shannon had to even pay $800 per month in child support until Alana turned 18.

In a promo for the forthcoming season, June 'Mama June' Shannon stated, 'We were amazed she wanted a wedding so quickly, but even more surprised at who showed up'. A different scene from the teaser had Joshua Efird, the husband of Anna's sister Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird, officiating the wedding of Anna and Eldridge. Joshua, remarked, 'It is my honor to declare you husband and wife,' and the happy couple shared their first kiss as husband and wife. On March 4, 2023, Anna and Eldridge got married in a quiet ceremony in Wilkinson County, Georgia. The wedding took place just one month after Anna's stage four adrenal cancer diagnosis and throughout her chemotherapy treatment. Anna Cardwell died on December 10, 2023, after battling cancer for a few months.
