HAMPTONS, VIRGINIA: The 'Summer House' Season 8 is all set to air on February 22, 2024, at 9 pm ET on Bravo. Apart from introducing two new cast members Jesse Solomon and West Wilson, another important issue that viewers are waiting to disclose is Lindsay Hubbard's and Carl Radke's relationship.
Thetrailer began with the voiceover of two cast members who seemed to disagree needless to say it was of Carl and Lindsay. The scene soon shifts to their house where they have their wedding preparations. Lindsay got upset and left the room to call her friends and let them know that Carl wanted to call off the wedding. Carl stated 'I thought she would react differently and she's gonna tell everybody she's blindsided' Lindsay exactly says the same words as per Carl's prediction and states that she is 'blindsided'. Carl says that Lindsay is trying to portray him as the bad guy. In the next scene, the couple seems to discuss the future as Lindsay wants to enjoy the summer as she hopes to be pregnant by the next. However, Carl does not seem to be interested in the conversation. Carl is seen complaining to the boy squad that Lindsay keeps on fighting with him but blames him. Lindsay also blames Carl for doing drugs and that raises serious doubts in Carl's mind about their marriage. Lindsay calls Carl a f****** terrorist to which Carl angrily says, 'I will f****** burn this house down'. In the next scene, Carl is advised by the minister to not marry Lindsay.
Lindsay and Carl began as friends since 'Summer House' premiered in 2017 and they went through multiple hookups, and fights leading up to their engagement. Lindsay confirmed their relationship in January 2022 in an interview with PageSix. Carl too confirmed their relationship a few days later in WWHL. They moved in together in their New York home in June 2022 which featured two bedrooms and plenty of closet space. Carl popped the question in the Hamptons on August 27, 2023, and the proposal was filmed for 'Summer House' Season 7 Episode 13. They even stated in their Season 7 reunion that the pair was going to get married in November 2023. However, in September 2023 Lindsay confirmed that they broke off and stated that the breakup was not her idea and that their romance and friendship were over.
Why did Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke call off their engagement?
Less than three months before they were scheduled to tie the knot, Carl and Lindsay called off their engagement in late summer. Lindsay confirmed the news on September 14, 2023. Kyle Cooke claims that despite the couple's counseling, Lindsay and Carl were unable to reach a mutual understanding in their relationship. In October 2023, Carl's co-founder of Loverboy, Carl, gave some insight into why his pals broke up in an interview with BravoTV 'It's almost like they couldn't even communicate anymore without a third party," he said. "Carl was like, 'That is not how I'm gonna spend the next 50 years of my life.' As per Kyle, it was the communication gap and compatibility issues that led to his best friend's breakup.
Lindsay added more information about their break up in a now-deleted Instagram post. She wrote, 'I would like to start by saying thank you for allowing me the space and time to process my emotions, heal, and grieve the loss of not only my relationship, but my friendship with someone I considered my best friend for 8 years,' as she continued 'This was not my decision, and I do not agree with quitting a relationship (at this level) without trying everything possible first,'. Lindsay through her post wanted viewers to know that it was Carl's decision and they haven't ended on amicable terms.
Did Kyle Cooke play a crucial role in Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke's break up?
It's no doubt that Kyle Cooke and Carl Radke are the best of friends. Even in the trailer, we see Carl talking to Kyle about his fights and disagreements with Lindsay. Kylee, the 'Loverboy' CEO and co-founder seems to know the intricate details of their breakup. Not just the reason behind it but also what followed with Carl's life. In an interview with E! News, he stated that Carl has given up their New York apartment for Lindsay to live and he is particularly homeless. Captain Lee Rosbach of Below Deck feels it was Kylee who was too involved in Carl and Lindsay's relationship. In this podcast, he stated that Kylee always hyped Carl up to speak rubbish about Lindsay when he should have instead saved their relationship. He mentioned, 'You know the guy who really kind of ticks me off in that whole situation? Kyle [Cooke]. I think he contributed to a certain degree.' Even though it cannot be deciphered whether Kylee had a part in their break up he surely had the position to influence Carl's decisions.

After the highly dramatic and public breakup, Lindsay seems to have moved on in a few months. Several romance rumors surrounded the 'Summer House' cast member. Lindsay was spotted hanging out with Johnny Bananas in New York City and some people thought the two were on a date. When Lindsay was asked about Johnny she stated that they were longtime friends and she was just catching up with him. However, a quirky reply left the viewers confused state whether they were dating or not. Andy asked if they were friends with future benefits to which she replied 'We will see'. Lindsay also found herself in romance rumors with country singer Dustin Lynch as they were seen in Nashville together. However, a close source revealed to Page Six, that they were not dating.'
