Over the years, the show has upped the entertainment quotient while also raising the bar of performances. One of the much-awaited audition performances this week is that of 36-year-old pole dance champion Kristy Sellars. Her breath-taking performance has so far been safely kept cloaked by the makers, only adding more mystery and thrill for the fans.
Who is Kristy Sellars?
Kristy Sellars is a professional pole dance champion and aerial performer who gained global recognition after competing in the ninth season of ‘Australia's Got Talent’ (2019). She went on to become the winner of that season, wowing both audiences and judges with her creative and unique choreography.
Kristy Sellars started her professional dance career in 2003. She has since worked in Australia and overseas choreographing and dancing in live shows, music videos and TV series such as 'So You Think You Can Dance.' She started pole dancing in 2007. Since then, she has changed people's perception of the art that was mostly clubbed in the category of erotic performances, despite containing numerous artistic grooves like acrobatics, splits, and spins.
After two years of learning pole dancing, Kristy founded PhysiPole Studios in Australia, which gradually expanded to 17 locations across 5 states. Currently, Kristy wears several honors like Miss Pole Dance Victoria, Pole Theatre Overall Champion - Australia, Pole Theatre Drama Champion - World Finals, International Pole Champion, and, most important of all, the winner of ‘Australia’s Got Talent.'
Over the years, Kristy has toured Scotland, England, Singapore, New Caledonia, New Zealand, The United States, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany, and the Czech Republic with her enthralling dance moves.
Kristy Sellars also has an active Instagram account with over 20.8K followers.
Even though the makers haven’t dropped any preview for Kristy’s performance, it is surely going to be a game-changer, going by her past record. Meanwhile, Kristy has been giving her fans hints and even dropped a behind-the-scenes video that gives a glimpse of the ‘America’s Got Talent’ season 17 stage. Her caption says, “America's Got Talent bts: Thanks @xpoleus for the pole and @xpole_australia for the support organising it.”
Excited fans were quick to drop their comments under the video. ‘Extremely loving what you do!!’ wrote one. ‘How exciting!! Chookas!!’ another added. ‘Oh my goodness soo excited for you,’ a third said.
We can’t wait to watch Kristy Sellar’s pole dance auditions performance on 'AGT' this Tuesday.
