'American Song Contest': Fans enjoy Hawaii's Bronson Varde's 'light and positive vibes'

With week 4 of 'American Song Contest' kicking off, artists from Washington, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Arizona, Washington, D.C., Georgia, Nevada, Utah, Massachusetts and New Hampshire are all set to take on the main stage.

If you've been keeping up with 'American Song Contest', you know it's been on a ride so far. Week 1 saw Hueston from Rhode Island make it to the semi-finals by performing his song, 'Held On Too Long'. Week 2 saw Jordan Smith from Kentucky advance forward with his song, 'Sparrow'. And, week 3 had Tennessee's Tyler Braden made the cut with his song, 'Seventeen'. Week 4 kicked off with Colorado's Ryker Lynch, Alabama's Ni/Co and Texas' Grant Knoche making it to the semi-finals as well. With week 4 performances now taking center stage, Hawaii's Bronson Varde was all set to bring some of that island energy to the stage!

Varde spoke about how the 'Aloha spirit' is all about letting someone in, seeing that it celebrates love and compassion. He spoke about how everyone in Hawaii is family (and even joked about Jason Mamoa being his uncle and The Rock being his father). When it came to his real family, he explained that they were plantation workers and hence, taking care of the land was like taking care of family. His song, '4 You' was about making people feel good and showcasing the Aloha spirit.
