'American Idol' Season 22 fans root for DJ Williams as he clinches Golden Ticket to Hollywood
SANTA BARBARA, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 22 audition week 4 was filled with a series of talented and deserving aspiring singers who performed to make their dreams true. Among the contestants was DJ Williams, who had a musical theatre experience as well.
The ABC show contestant performed 'Jealous' and easily clinched the Golden Ticket to Hollywood. The contestant's performance left Katy Perry with teary eyes. Williams revealed during his introductory video, that he was an 18-year-old performer from Itta Bena, Mississippi. The viewers received a quick glimpse at Williams' performance as his audition was intertwined with more focus on Katy Perry's camp songs.
Williams has notably been a camp counselor. However, multiple social media users took to the comment section and congratulated the aspiring singer. An Instagram user commented, "DJ did good." DJ Williams wins local talent competition
DJ Williams is an aspiring singer and still has to achieve milestones but he has already created his name in the neighbourhood. Williams has participated in multiple contests and also won a few. He has competed in State Fair contests and has won local talent shows.
He participated in The Mix's talent competition and also won the competition with a powerful performance. The ABC show contestant has also performed the National Anthem at local events. He sings both musical theatre and soul songs.
When is 'American Idol' Season 22 Hollywood Week?
'American Idol' Season 22 would soon move to the Hollywood Week with the series of selected talented performers. The Hollywood Week would premiere on Sunday, March 31. The challenge would be divided into two episodes and would also air on Monday, April 1.
During the segment, the aspiring singers' would perform, and flaunt their strengths, challenges, and progression in the competition to grab a spot in the upcoming round. DJ Williams would also perform during the Hollywood Week to reach a step near to the winning trophy.
