'American Idol': Hannah Everhart's voice branded 'worst sounding thing ever' after duet with Jason Aldean
Hannah Everhart's country charm seems to be wearing out rapidly among 'American Idol' fans. On Monday night, the singer from Mississippi took to the stage in the all-star solo and duet round but failed to impress fans despite having country superstar James Aldean by her side for one of the performances.
The judges seemed to like what Hannah did on stage. It was a lot different from the performances she had given during auditions as well as the Hollywood round in terms of stage use, interaction with judges and the cameras and also her attitude. During rehearsals, Aldean had advised her to break out of the box and loosen up a little and have fun during the performance. But in doing all that, Hannah seemed to have missed the mark with her singing, according to the viewers who slammed the show for having her in the Top 24 lineup.

Hannah performed 'I Was Wrong' by Chris Stapleton for her solo and her celebrity lookalike, judge Katy Perry's face clearly said she was unimpressed. But during feedback time, she appreciated the "risks" that Hannah took during her duet with Aldean although her solo failed to hit the "bullseye". Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie too commended her for "holding your own" next to superstar Aldean. However, fans did not share the same sentiments as the judges and slammed them for all the praise they showered on Hannah.
"#AmericanIdol she was off pitch the entire time & stop bullshitting. You are a judge. You are here to critique, to provide feedback on how they can improve but you wanna sugarcoat and use analogies and shit. That is not helpful in the long wrong. Hannah was pitchy, just say that," wrote an angry fan on Twitter. "How in gods green earth did Hannah make it this far? that Solo performance was the worst sounding thing i have ever heard.. #AmericanIdol," read another tweet.
