LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘The View’ has a panel of some very opinionated women ranging from Whoopi Goldberg, Sara Hains to Joy Behar. Alyssa Farah Griffin is also a part of the roster, and usually, she is the last person to stir the pot. Griffin was definitely ready to throw some shade while the co-hosts on ‘The View’ discussed beauty standards after Martha Stewart’s latest photoshoot that took the internet by storm.

Griffin could have picked absolutely anyone from the industry to shade when it comes to beauty standards, but she picked the Kardashians! It might be the best example, and the worst, all at the same time, however, it definitely earned a well-deserved gasp from the audience. Maybe it’s time the controversial limelight shifts away from the likes of Sunny Hostin and Whoopi, and moves over to Griffin!

‘Look like yourself!’

As the co-hosts gather around to discuss Martha Stewart, Griffin expresses her grief with her generation of women as she says, “I get a little sad with my generation of women, I feel like they’re all trying to adapt to the current beauty thing. We’re going to get the big fillers, the giant lips. Look like yourself, there’s only one you, there’s already Kardashians, you don’t need to look like one.” Once Griffin realized that she did take an unintentional dig at the Kardashians, she quickly recovered by saying, “They’re beautiful, no dig at them, they’re beautiful but this is a testament to self-love, she (Martha Stewart) looks amazing.” This earned a chuckle from the audience, who noticed the mishap, and we are certain the co-hosts are missing the writers who are on strike!

Has Griffin dug her own grave?

While Griffin did make some valid points about self-love and Stewart, it is always a little risky to throw shade at big names on talk shows, even though it is done often. There are two sides to this coin, where on one side, this segment will probably get more viewers watching it because of what Griffin said, and on the other side, she might face a little backlash for it. Nevertheless, the Kardashians are too busy to respond to something like this, especially when they are busy shooting for their upcoming season of 'The Kardashians'.
