'The View': ABC's talk show struggles to survive as gaffes and spats between co-hosts increases
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It is no secret that ‘The View’ has been a part of far too many controversies recently, thanks to the hosts who have played a huge part in it. Off late, most segments come off as unprepared with uninterested co-hosts including Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Joy Behar, and Alyssa Griffin. Each of these co-hosts has been a part of spats, gaffes, and controversies in the last couple of months, and the writers’ strike hasn’t helped their case either.
Fans and casual viewers of ‘The View’ are also getting tired of the co-hosts and the mind-numbing material that is often presented by them. How long can ‘The View’ sustain itself after all these blunders it has put itself through?

Whoopi asks the producer for help!
In one of the latest segments of ‘The View', Whoopi made a humongous blunder that caught everyone’s attention. While wrapping up her segment and delivering the closing statement, the co-host was unsure whether she was meant to wrap it all together and asked “Is this an actual wrap?” Whoopi looked off camera and to the producer who sat there with an uncomfortable smile on his face as he nods along. Frankly, Whoopi is on thin ice at the moment, especially after the rumors about producers asking her to quit have been floating around for quite some time. Well, at least she has her graphic novel writing career as a back if things with ‘The View’ doesn’t work out!
Not so Sunny!
If we had to pick the most controversial co-host of ‘The View’ it would have to be Sunny Hostin! Hostin has been through the wringer on social media lately, receiving mostly hate from fans for her controversial opinions, her new book, and the way she often cuts off her co-hosts on ‘The View’ and then asks them to move to Florida, and yes, she most recently did that with Ana Navarro. Despite Sunny’s daughter, Paloma, appearing on ‘The View’ fans weren’t convinced and continue to dislike her. Sunny has tried her best to gain sympathy after openly admitting that she receives a lot of hate from the internet, but it only seems to have added fuel to the fire.
Can ‘The View’ survive?
There have been rumours about ‘The View’ coming to an end for good, after a long and mostly successful run. The talk show started off as a space for women to discuss relevant topics but has turned into a breeding ground of catty women who indulge in spats, gaffes, and controversies. Maybe it is time for the talk show, or at least the co-hosts to retire, and make way for something fresh and stimulating. It will be interesting to see how much longer ‘The View’ can survive!
