'Alter Ego': Mariah Rosario aka Safara's performance gives fans 'goosebumps'

Fox's new show 'Alter Ego' is slowly fighting for viewers' attention as people invest their time in finding out which alter ego has the judges' vote. Fox singing competition show in place of the one it canceled last year 'American Idol' is now trying to make its mark. If you are someone who enjoys shows like 'The Voice' or 'America's Got Talent' then you could check this out.

With Alanis Morissette, Nick Lachey, Grimes and will.i.am as the judges, contestants take on digital avatars while showcasing their singing talents. The judges and the audience only see the avatar perform, ensuring that the judging and voting process depends entirely on their performances.

For Mariah Rosario, a loan specialist from Tucson, Arizona, her alter ego Safara allowed her to be herself without worrying about her insecurities. To her, this avatar was a symbol of support from the world that she has what it takes to be the next generation superstar. Fans agreed that Rosario had a stunning voice and wanted to see more of her.  "Listen,Safara #AlterEgoFOX don't let anyone make you feel less than. You're beautiful and have an amazing voice." tweeted a fan. "Safara gave me goosebumps she was that good. #AlterEgoFOX" added another. "I heard Safara, she did a amazing performance and I hope she makes it to the next round #AlterEgoFOX" mentioned another. 



 



 



 

The judges were blown away instantly by her performance, just as much as they were smitten by her prior to it. As will.i.am explained it, she was the complete package as she effortlessly married herself and her alter ego to create a unique persona. Even Alanis Morissette agreed that the combination of her and her alter ego worked, while Grimes chimed in that her performance had her emotionally invested. Rosario was quick to knock off The Loverboy and scored her spot on the Diamond. While she held that position right until the end of the show, fellow contestant, Aster, knocked her off right at the end. However, the audience came to her rescue and voted for her to advance to the next round.
