'AGT' Season 17 Live Show: Fans think Sara James was 'set up' to win as she had 'little of competition as possible'

While Sara James' performance was powerful, fans noted that she was already a popular name back home in Poland

PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: For each of the acts who've made it to the 'America's Got Talent' live show segment, all that stands between them and the finals are the audience votes. While winning over the judges is important, here on out, their fate lies in the hands of their fans.

As Sara James took to the stage, she explained that although she lived in Poland, coming to America and performing was her ultimate dream. For her, her golden buzzer moment on the show was truly the 'best moment' of her life. Now, she felt as though the pressure was on and was all set to make her live performance 'fire'. And she certainly delivered.

Sara's rendition of Elton John's 'Rocket Man' absolutely moved the judges, with Heidi Klum noting that Simon Cowell had a real knack for picking out exceptional talent. The judges were in awe of her performance, noting that at just age 14, she had all the makings of a star. While most of Twitter fawned over Sara James, much like the judges did, a few fans felt as though it was unfair for an established singer to be performing on 'AGT'.

For those of you wondering, Sara is quite popular back in Poland -- she was the winner of Season 4 of 'The Voice Kids' (Poland edition). "Interesting interpretation of Elton John's Rocket Man. Sarah James is hardly an unknown act though, apparently. Stuff like that kinda ruins these shows a bit when you figure that out #AGT #AmericasGotTalent" said a fan. "There needs to be a rule that if you win one version you can’t compete in another. She’s good, but I don’t think it’s fair. @AmericasGotIt @SimonCowell @heidiklum @howiemandel @SofiaVergara #agt #sarajames" said another. "I swear #AGT set it up so that @SimonCowell's GB had as little of competition as possible. Her song was meh at best but when the first 9 acts leave you wondering how they made it this far it's a stacked deck..." added a fan. "Wow. If there's any doubt that the production qualities try to garner votes . . . don't get me wrong. Sara James is quite amazing. But it's obvious when the producers stand behind performers. #AGT" wrote another.
