'AGT' Season 17: Bay Turner regained his voice after nicked vocal cords, bags four yeses

For Bay Turner, music was the most important thing to him, leading him to fight for his dream

Season 17 of 'America's Got Talent' has been welcoming acts from all over the globe, all of whom have one dream in common -- to pursue what they are passionate about, headline the 'AGT' show in Las Vegas and last, but not the least, bag the $1 million cash prize. But to do all of the above, they have to prove that they are the best of the best.

Musical acts this season has certainly been off the charts, seeing that most amount the golden buzzers have been bagged by musicians this time around. From Avery Dixon to Ben Waites and Madison Taylor Baez, each of these acts have made their mark. Now, Bay Turner was all set to show the world what he'd made of!

Turner explained that he has been singing since he was a child. It helped him through his parents' divorce and he turned to music for comfort. While he trained as an opera singer in New York, he knew that it was the career for him. As he made his way to the stage, he explained that his dream was to sell out the biggest stages and arenas around the world. Although he's a legal assistant, he often finds himself singing. Turner explained that music was his safe space, seeing that he had dealt wth depression. He added that he had two major surgeries to remove tumours from his chest. During this, his vocal cords were nicked, but he spent countless hours in vocal therapy, to get his voice back, so that he could sing again. And now, he was all set to make his 'AGT' dream come true, seeing that it was something that he wanted to do since he was a child. Fans were rooting for Turner as well. "Wow Bay was amazing love hearing his story #AGT" added a fan. "Bay turner that was a touching performance great voice 👏🏽#AGT" said another. "Look like those voice lessons worked. Happy for you. #AGT" wrote another.
