Who is Madison Taylor Baez?

Madison Taylor Baez is a young musician and an actor. Her acting credits include 'Let the Right One In', 'Selena: The Series', 'Game of Talents', and 'The Tooth Racket'. In a conversation with Young Entertainment Mag, Madison opened up about how her career began. "I started singing when I was 2 years old and I would get my father’s iPad and sing and memorize songs from the great singers of Motown and all genres of music from the 50’s to today’s music." she explained. "At 3 years old, my father who introduced me to singing was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Over the last 6 years, I developed my singing voice by learning new songs to sing to him to help him throughout his cancer battle. I would sing at his hospital bedside after his many surgeries, at home during months of recoveries and during his chemo treatments. I was always at his side singing a song for him." she added.

Her life soon changed when at age 7, her father sent a video of her singing the National Anthem to the LA Lakers. Shortly after, she was called to sing at a Lakers game, which then led her to perform at stadiums and arenas for LA Dodgers, LA Rams, LA Galaxy, LA Kings, Harlem Globetrotters fans, and even at charity events. Madison soon earned the nickname 'America’s Anthem Girl' and has been on a roll ever since.

Having played a young Selena on the Netflix series, Madison sees the 'Queen of Tejano music' as an inspiration. "We’re both Latina and had similar beginnings. We are similar as singers, but we’re also very different singers and performers at this age. I hope that I can follow her path as she inspired people, especially young Latina girls. I want to do that with the same humility and kindness as she did." she explained while talking to The Mujerista.

"I don’t believe Selena cared about fame and I don’t either. I just want to share my talents to help inspire and make people feel good. If I can do it by singing or acting then, that’s awesome, and that’s all that matters to me," she added.

'America's Got Talent' Season airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm on NBC. For viewers who wish to tune in to the show without cable, they can do so using streaming services like Sling TV, fuboTV, Hulu With Live TV, AT&T TV, or YouTube TV.
