PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: Blending magic with storytelling has pretty much been a winning formula for the magicians on 'America's Got Talent'. Season 17 contestant Nicols Ribs took it a notch higher by incorporating technology into his magic act alongside a story.

The judges and audience watched in awe as the French magician turned images on a screen into 4D objects while narrating a beautiful story. After his stellar performances during the auditions and semi-finals round, fans were eager to see what the talented magician had planned for the grand finale. While Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Heidi Klum, couldn't get enough of Nicolas' act featuring him expressing his love for his daughter and family, unfortunately, it didn't resonate with Simon Cowell and the fans. Simon complained about how the act's background music was too loud and distracting. He compared it to an aunt playing piano after lunch. 'AGT' fans surprisingly sided with Simon and labeled the Frenchman's act as 'boring.

A fan tweeted, "That would have been a whole lot more impressive if the camera didn’t keep showing his hand going under the table to reload. #AGT." "Sorry that magic act was the zzzzzzz #AGT," wrote a fan. "I normally love magic, and magic is normally very Vegas, however… if I paid to see a magician and then basically sat and watched a big TV monitor for an hour to see most of it, I’d be pretty cheesed off. #AGT," commented a fan. "This magician dude is so boring. #agt," declared a fan.

"#AGT I'm in agreement with Simon. I wasn't impressed with Nicholas ' magic trick tonight. The music was putting me to sleep and the magic trick computerized. Nicholas ' left hand was under the table tapping a button/ clicking," seconded a fan. "I, too, am feeling let down from that act. I'm on @SimonCowell's side. Sorry. #AGT #AGTFinals," expressed a fan. "Totally agree with you on the magic act it was very bad slight of hand was too obvious.@SimonCowell #AGT," observed a fan.
