'AGT' Season 17 Semifinals: Fans side with Simon Cowell in slamming Mr Pants' 'bad act'
PASADENA, CALIFORNIA: After getting a standing ovation from the judges during the auditions, New York-based comedian Mr Pants was hoping to recreate the magic during the semi-finals round. Armed with his many trouser-based puns, Mr Pants confidently began sharing his jokes on the stage.
While Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara couldn't get enough of the comedian's jokes and seemed to thoroughly enjoy it, their fellow judge Simon Cowell didn't share the same feeling. Within a few seconds of Mr Pants' act, Simon buzzed him an X and watched the rest of the act with his palms on his head. While the other judges kept looking at Simon and saying he was wrong for buzzing the act. Unfazed by Simon's buzzer, Mr Pants continued his performance and even stripped down to shorts to amuse the audience and judges. By the end of his performance, Simon pointed out how the entire set was terrible and didn't enjoy the many pants puns. Howie and the other judges tried pointing out to Simon that he was wrong in his assessment, but he refused to budge. Looks like Simon wasn't the only one who didn't enjoy Mr Pants' act, as many fans took to Twitter to express the same feelings.
