'90 Day Fiance' Season 9: Fans call out Mohamed for practising 'Islam by convenience'

Dating people from different parts of the world may seem exciting at first, but it's a whole different ball game when these couples actually decide to settle down. For the couples of '90 Day Fiance' adjusting to their partners' culture and religion is not easy and can even lead to their breakup.

Fans have been wary about Mohamed and Yve's relationship right from the start and with good reason -- Mohamed seems to want a mother more than a wife. While the two are still in their honeymoon period, it looks like it might end soon, seeing that Yve is starting to notice issues in their relationship.

Early in the season, Mohamed explained how he needed a bidget in the washroom. Although Yve couldn't get it done before he could arrive, she asked the plumber to come over and install the same. What was supposed to be routine maintenance work, however, quickly escalated into an issue when Mohamed realized another man was in the same room as her without being informed. As Mohamed explained, as per this religion, this was not allowed, and the next time a situation like this should occur, Yve would be required to go out of the house and have him handle it instead. Yve was certainly taken aback by this, as she mentioned that she didn't want to live her life this way and was kind of nervous. Mohamed, on the other hand, told her that he had made his sacrifices by leaving Egypt, and now he expected Yve to do the same. He explained that there was no way of knowing if the men let into his house were good or bad, and hence he had to be around.

Fans felt as though Mohamed was picking and choosing parts of his religion as he saw fit. "I think Mohammeds rule is BS because women have to be alone with men at times in the workplace #90DayFiance" tweeted a fan. "Premarital sex is super chill. Plumber installing the bidet, super not f--king chill #90DayFiance" said a fan. "Mohammad practices Islam by convenience. Is it okay for him to shack with a woman back in his country? And, if Yve didn't say that she plans to convert, why is she so accepting of him imposing his beliefs on her? #90DayFiance" added another. "Mohammed sat there playing games when the doorbell rang but had a problem with Yve being around a stranger. Why didn't he get up & deal with the plumber?? #90DayFiance" tweeted a fan. "I guess the Honeymoon period between Yve and Mohammed is over. #90DayFiance" said a fan.
