LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Zac Efron has been a heartthrob since he was seen in Disney's 'High School Musical' franchise. The actor has been acknowledged to take up quirky roles as they challenge him. Recently, Efron showed off his beefed-up muscles on the set of the upcoming film 'The Iron Claw.'

'The Iron Claw' is ideally about the Von Erich family who were a professional wrestling family. However, the family does have a haunting past as a series of bad events happened to them one after the other. Regardless, Efron sported a noteworthy new hairdo as he stood shirtless with a towel around his waist while checking his phone. It is a typical '80s look and fans are not complaining about it at all. While some praise Efron's toned body, others imagine how perfectly he would play 'Wolverine' for the upcoming generation.

Efron will play pro wrestler Kevin Von Erich in the upcoming movie, 'The Iron Claw'. The movie is written and helmed by Martha Marcy May Marlene filmmaker Sean Durkin, the film also stars Lily James, Maura Tierney, Jeremy Allen White, and Harris Dickinson. However, the official synopsis of the film reads, "Follows the story of the Von Erichs, a dynasty of wrestlers who made a great impact on the sport from the 1960s to the present day." It surely does look interesting and ever since the first look picture surfaced online and a fan shared the trending papped picture of Efron on Twitter, his fans could barely keep calm.

A fan wrote, "He's honestly probably more jacked than Kev was." "Jacked to the gills, im excited to see what the rest of the guys look like," said one fan while another tweeted, "Holy crap Zac Efron got big to play Kevin Von Eric in the movie about the Von Eric family". Another said, "Zac Efron looked unrecognizable as he debuted an extremely beefed-up new physique, glowing tan and a bowl haircut to play wrestler Kevin Von Erich on the set of new film, The Iron Claw." A fan shared, "Zac Efron is jacked ! I said years ago that he'd be the perfect Wolverine!"

However, during a recent interview with Men's Health, Zac Efron shared his thought on his "unattainable 'Baywatch' look," he said he "fell into a pretty bad depression, for a long time" after recovering from the rigorous training for that project.

"That Baywatch look, I don't know if that's really attainable," he said. "There's just too little water in the skin. Like, it's fake; it looks CGI'd. And that required Lasix, powerful diuretics, to achieve. So I don't need to do that. I much prefer to have an extra, you know, 2 to 3 percent body fat." Efron adds, "At one point, that was a dream of mine - what it would be like to not have to be in shape all the time? What if I just say, 'F**k it' and let myself go? So I tried it, and I was successful. And for all the reasons I thought it would be incredible, I was just miserable. My body would not feel healthy; I just didn't feel alive. I felt bogged down and slow."
