In the movie 'Iron Claw', Zac Efron will portray legendary wrestler Kevin Von Erich and fans could not stay calm

NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA: Zac Efron looked unrecognizable as he was spotted shooting his upcoming movie 'Iron Claw'. In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, his appearance was a far cry from his 'High School Musical' days or even 'Baywatch. He looked like he had beefed up considerably and was sporting a bowl cut as he walked to his vanity bus clad in a blue towel around his waist. He also looked like he had got a tan for his role.

Fans, of course, could not stay quiet and reacted to the photos. In the movie, Efron will portray famous wrestler Kevin Von Erich. They also shared how excited they were to see Von Erich being portrayed on the big screen.

A person tweeted, "I wasn't sure how Zac Efron was going to pull off Kevin Von Erich...." as he shared the picture of Efron from the set. Another said, "This does not look like kevin at all, everyone shut up!!" Another said, "This looks like what they are going for. My first reaction seeing it was its Kerry's upper body with Kev's haircut." Another user tweeted, "Zac Efron doing a wrestling project is something I never imagine 😵‍💫😵‍💫"

Others shared their reaction to the project altogether for some it was a new discovery while others are simply excited to see how the movie turns out. "Wait whattt.. Von Erich’s have a movie/film coming out???" said one to which the OP replied, "Yep, the early work is beginning." Another user said, "Great, they already started filming. I remember the announcement of the movie but I thought it would be further off in the distance. Nice to see it’s not languishing in developmental hell or something." and OP replied in affirmation saying, "Yeah, I'm very pleasantly surprised to see it moving along this quickly."

A lot of fans couldn't help but compare Efron's look with Von Erich's younger brother Kerry. "He reminds me more of Kerry. This looks pretty convincing though. Lip as Kerry is what I’m interested in seeing," a person tweeted. The OP responded, "Lip as Kerry is going to be very interesting. My confidence in this project just increased a ton."

In another thread, a user said, "I really wanted him for Kerry Von Erich when it was announced, thought he had a great build to portray him. Then Jeremy Allen White as Kevin Von Erich, not just physically, but he is also the best actor of the three, at least in my opinion." The OP replied, "I can see Kerry's face in Jeremy Allen White's so I can see where they are going with that choice. That casting was when I really got some faith in this thing." Another user tweeted, "I see the face as well, the reason I wanted the switch was more because Jeremy has the acting ability to portray everything that Kevin has to go through in his life; and I like Zac Efron as an actor he has grown on me, but for the role of Kevin; I don't think he is good enough."
