'Youth MT': Airdate, how to watch starring 'Itaewon', 'Love in Moonlight', 'Sound of Magic' cast
Following the news that TVING’s latest reality show ‘Youth MT’ would have the cast of three hit K-dramas, fans were excited. It was reported that not only the side characters of these three dramas would be appearing, but also the main leads. Well, turns out that TVING is going all out for their star-studded healing show as they brought in the cast of the K-dramas being led by veteran actors Park Bo-gum, Park Seo-joon and Ji Chang-wook. Their co-stars of ‘Itaewon Class’, ‘Love in the Moonlight’ and ‘The Sound of Magic’ will also be appearing.
With the filming ending on June 30, we finally got a glimpse of the new reality show. Along with the fan-favorites, we are also getting rising stars that are currently popular and leading K-dramas on their own like Jinyoung of the K-pop group B1A4 in ‘Police University’, Kwak Dong-yeon as the second male lead in ‘Vincenzo’, Hwang In-yeop of ‘True Beauty’ fame and Ahn Bo-hyun who went from a bully in ‘Itaewon Class’ to leading 2021 hits ‘Yumi’s Cells’ and ‘My Name’. What is ‘Youth MT’?
‘Youth MT’ is a healing variety show where the cast of the three K-dramas go on a mini vacation and play games and missions that encourage teambuilding while also bonding and chatting. During the field trip, they will also be doing camping activities, cooking and enjoying meals together. It is a loosely scripted show with TVING roping in the scriptwriter of the hit variety show ‘2 Days & 1 Night’ season 3 and the producer of the viral show ‘Knowing Bros’.
Fans are excited to see ‘Love in the Moonlight’ cast reuniting after 6 years as the show had been released in 2016. We are also getting another crossover as the drama’s lead actor Park Bo-gum had done a cameo at the end of ‘Itaewon Class’. The production teased that the reunion of the ‘Love in the Moonlight’ cast was that of an old group of friends who displayed cute chemistry.
With the cast of ‘Itaewon Class’ playing co-workers of a restaurant in the drama, the actors displayed fiery energy led by Park Seo-joon as their team leader. With ‘The Sound of Magic’ casting new and rising actors along with veteran Ji Chang-wook, their team’s energy was that of a senior and junior with the rest of the actors following him everywhere like "ducklings". The casts of the three dramas also mingled and interchanged teams to create new friendships while being given new missions and challenges.
