'Young, Famous & African' viewers feel weirded out by Luis Munana's request to Zari Hassan

JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA: Season 2 of 'Young, Famous & African', which returns with the same cast amid some new faces, has more stories and mysteries this time. As new cast member Luis Munana joined the tumultuous group, his statements were either taken out of context or did not sit well with the rest of the cast or the fans.

The second season added more characters to the already diversified roster. Bonang Matheba, a media figure, Ghanaian artist Fantana, and Namibian TV producer Luis all appeared on the broadcast. This exciting new feature offered viewers increased enjoyment while also giving greater insights into their fascinating lives. The season did not hold back on unraveling human dramas, which is a major selling point for the genre.

'Zari might be my egg donor'

Luis thought he could take Khanyi Mbau's advice on something very essential during a chat with Khanyi Mbau in Episode 6. "She will tell it to me like it is. She won't spare anything." He informed Khanyi that for the last two birthdays, he had only yearned for a kid.

Khanyi said quickly, "You can't have a child with me. I got a man." During the talk, she felt quite embarrassed because Luis was holding her hands while sharing his wish. Luis went on to say that Zari Hassan had previously stated during the cast's polo meet that she is also interested in the "whole surrogate situation thing." He felt it would be a good idea to run it by Khanyi before asking her. "Because this is something that's not out there in Namibia."

He was hoping two things could come out of it. For starters, "It's either Zari and myself are going to go and research about surrogacy, and have individual surrogates. Or, Zari might be my egg donor, and I become her sperm donor."

Fans were upset with Luis' approach, one wrote, "Luis is so weird. Like you don’t know Zari bandla." Another person asked, "Luis’ gift to Zari was asking for her eggs?" One viewer tweeted, "LMFAOOOOOOO LUIS & ZARI Fr Khanyi, what is Luis sayinggg." Finding the whole situation weird, one user tweeted, "Luis and this egg thing is weird as shit because how you asking Zari for her eggs and you don't even know her? Who does that ?"

One tweet also read, "Haibo Luis what's Zari to her egg donor seriously." As Luis' tried to dismiss the whole situation, one fan called him out, "So are we just gonna act like Luis didn't ask for Zari's eggs???? Nope I am sorry he did ask for the eggs, the only issue was Khanyi going and telling Zari that she was sent because he told her that in confidence." Another chimed in, "The Luis and the eggs from Zari situation is weird AF, no lie." One fan wanted to know, "Luis… what’s the truth? First it was Nadia, then it was Fantana, now Zari?!"
