As the wedding celebrations blow over Genoa City, the focus returns to all the drama surrounding the mysterious and shocking shooting of Adam Newman. With all fingers pointing towards none other than Billy, suspicions have been at an all-time high even though the man proclaims his innocence. And even though Adam's father Victor is aching to pin the blame on Billy, he wants the real culprit to be brought to justice. In all of this, however, tension reigns between the women in  Billy's lie - both past and resent. Claws are out between his ex Victoria and current lady Lilly, and amidst all the commotion, his very panicked and frantic mother Jill has some advice for Billy. Read on to find out what happens in the December 7 episode of 'The Young and The Restless'.

According to the official synopsis provided by CBS, Billy's ex-wife and current girlfriend are quite cross with each other. The reason? Lilly, the new love interest, doesn't trust what Victoria's intentions are with her man. And we don't blame her, given the way Victoria is treating Phyllis, practically playing her dirty right now. Victoia as we know testified in Billy's favor to get suspicions off of him saying that the gun used to shoot Adam was indeed locked in her safe. But there was still a break in and although Victoria doesn't bear witness to who carried it out, she keeps insisting it wasn't Billy. Why is she being so nice to him?

Of course, Lilly would doubt this, after watching Billy get handcuffed and dragged down to the station for a crime he claims he didn't commit. But will this suspicion over the ex cloud Billy's budding relationship with the new love interest? If not, there's always drama from his mother's side to bank on. Even though Billy hasn't really been keen on receiving interference from his mother's side into his life, Jill can't hold back dumping her suggestions on the man. Deciding that fighting against the Newmans won't be the best idea, she offers Billy to leave his life behind and start afresh somewhere else in hiding. How convenient! But Lilly has other plans and won't back down without a fight – or schemes against the Newmans, for that matter.

In other places, Jack tries to call out Theo on his bluff and thus end the feud between the two. He even tries to bust Sally before further damage is done on the Lauren end, by giving the latter a heads up on the other woman. In the backdrop of all of this, Chance and Abby not being able to enjoy their honeymoon bliss looks trivial. Especially if you factor in Chelsea's latest diagnosis for the incessant headaches, which has managed to turn both her and Adam's world upside down. Amidst all of this, the synopsis also teases that he has a glaring confession to make to Chelsea and that makes us more concerned about the couple.

'The Young and the Restless' airs on weekdays at 12:30 PM only on CBS
