LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: After delivering a moving performance to Tim McGraw's 'Humble and kind', Team Blake's Brayden Lape had some choice of words for his coach's wife Gwen Stefani.

After watching the 16-year-old's performance, Gwen was so starstruck that she decided to shower him with praise. The celebrity coach declared that she was his "number one fan on the show." Instead of graciously accepting Gwen's praise, Brayden came up with a cheeky comeback by questioning her for not turning for him. "Then why didn't you turn?" he shot back. While the studio audience booed him, Gwen managed to handle the situation in a graceful manner and declared that she couldn't remember that far back. Laughing awkwardly, Gwen expressed, "I will say this, I always believed in you since the beginning, that you had something special, even outside of your voice. It's just this thing, that I can't put my finger on. I was right, look, you're in the final, you're amazing!"

Though Gwen handled the situation really well, 'The Voice' fans were left fuming at Brayden's sassy remark. Many fans took to Twitter to point out how Brayden may have shot himself in the foot by deciding to throw a cheeky jab at his coach Blake Shelton's wife on-camera. A fan tweeted, "Brayden just shot himself in the foot. Really? Being disrespectful to Gwen, your coaches wife?? No thanks. #TheVoice." "Brayden just shot himself in the foot. Really Being disrespectful to Gwen #TheVoice," wrote a fan. "Sorry Brayden your comment to Gwen was very disrespectful especially after singing Be Humble and Kind! #TheVoice," observed a fan. "First Brayden that was BORING! 2nd don't diss The Gwen Stephani who's been around decades and you'll be forgotten after the show ends! #TheVoice," declared an annoyed fan.

Aside from calling out Brayden for his 'disrespectful' comment towards Gwen, many fans also felt that Brayden earned a spot in the finale just fue to his good looks rather than for his talent. A fan shared, "Sorry the only reason Brayden is in it is because he's cute I'm still so angry #theVoice." "Brayden Lape has absolutely no business being in the finale. He shouldn’t have even made it past the knockouts. His voice is nasally and painful to listen to and he’s only made it this far because of the female voters. It’s called “the voice” not “looks cute on stage” #TheVoice," pointed out a fan. "Let’s be real! Brayden made on the finale on his cute looks not because he deserves to be in the finale #TeamBlake #TheVoice," seconded a fan. "Parijita should be in the finale as well! Brayden just got voting through because of his age and cute! That's NOT what you should vote on..votes should be based on the Voice PERIOD@johnlegend #TheVoice," expressed a fan.
