Yellowstone’ has been one of the most popular shows on television in recent years and it just keeps on getting better with each season. Apart from the engaging storyline and beautiful visuals, another thing that made the show so amazing is how beautifully the characters are written. Be it, John Dutton (Kevin Costner), Beth (Kelly Reilly), or Teeter (Jennifer Landon) — every character on the show has been given equal prominence and their stories continue to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

However, there’s one character that fans would love to see again on the Paramount show and it's none other than Neal McDonough’s Malcolm Beck, one of John Dutton’s oldest foes. In Season 4 of the acclaimed series, we saw the Duttons getting rid of Garrett Randall. It was an epic stand-off between John and Garrett and it was the Duttons who emerged victorious.

John can take a sigh of relief that his enemy has been neutralized, but there could be someone else coming for him now. If you have been a fan of the show, then you know Beck was indeed one of the best villains in the show’s history and was good at riling up the Dutton Family with his schemes. However, in the final standoff with John, Malcolm seemingly died after he was shot multiple times. But it seems, there’s a chance that we might see the character again.

While speaking to TV Insider, the 56-year-old actor teased a possible return to Paramount’s blockbuster western drama. The actor revealed that no one actually saw Malcolm’s eyes “close” and noted that there’s always a possibility for a return.

He said, “Did I die? Did I? I’m not so sure about that. We have talked about the fact we didn’t actually see Malcolm Beck’s eyes close. There is always that possibility.”

However, he made one thing clear — Malcolm’s brother Teal won’t be returning. McDonough said, “My brother won’t be coming back for sure."

If Malcolm returns to the show, this won’t be the first that a character, presumed dead, has made a comeback on the show. Let’s take you back to Season 1, when everyone thought that Dan Jenkins was dead after he swung from a tree, all thanks to Kayce. A lot of people were happy that he was finally gone. However, Season 2 didn’t take much time in revealing that Jenkins didn’t die that day and was eventually brought down from the tree and was very much alive. So, it won’t be shocking to see Malcolm making a return too with a tale about how the bullets missed his vital organs or someone saved his life.

‘Yellowstone’ Season 5 is currently in production and a slate of new actors have been announced as the new cast members of the show. But McDonough’s name isn’t among them. But it’s highly possible that the makers could be keeping McDonough’s return a secret. Let’s wait and watch.
