Spoilers for 'Yellowjackets' Season 2 Episode 3

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Yellowjackets’ is one of those shows that keep on getting better with each passing episode. But if you think, the Showtime series couldn’t get any weird then you should wait for the third episode to arrive. The second episode of the ongoing Season 2 finally broke all the shackles and we got to see the entire group turning into cannibals. The horrifying scene saw Jackie’s body burning on a pyre as they cook the body. The group succumbed to their hunger and the team ate Jackie’s corpse. But things got even crazier when the entire gang planned to host a baby shower for Teen Shauna (Sophie Nélisse). I know this doesn’t sound crazy, but the way things were done, will blow your mind.

The team decided to host this baby shower for Shauna so that they can lift her spirits. Of course, she is scared and nervous about the entire situation. Shauna is still feeling guilty about eating her best friend and how everyone felt nothing while eating their friend while succumbing to their hunger. Another person who felt a little disassociated with the entire act was Taissa, but she should realize that she ate her “face”, and didn’t flinch an eye while doing so at first.

Crystal and Misty prepare a monologue about a 'dead child'

It was actually Lottie’s idea to hold the baby shower and she said this celebration is to “welcome him”. Now, the phrase “welcome him” truly stands out here because no one knows the gender of the baby, and Lottie saying “him” is pretty peculiar and shows the kind of power Lottie has. Crystal (Nuha Jes Izman) and Misty (Samantha Hanratty) perform a monologue for the team and especially for Shauna. But it takes a wild turn when it turns out that the entire monologue talks about a dead child and it gets only worse from there because Lottie gifts Shauna a blanket with the mysterious symbol of the cult.

As soon as the team sees that symbol, they get really nervous and everyone feels that this might be the beginning of something diabolical. Suddenly, Shauna gets a nosebleed and the blood drops onto the symbol.

Lottie brings 'BAD OMENS' to Shauna's baby shower

The moment that happens, a flock of dead birds falls over the cottage and no one is amused, they are dead scared. But Lottie seems to be in control, she takes blessings from those dead birds and we know what it means. It signifies bad omens and shows that someone close to the family is about to die in the near future.

The entire sequence perfectly captures the essence of the show and makes it even better. It is scary, and cringy, and might even make some people feel uncomfortable. But one thing is for sure, it is one of the most riveting scenes in recent television history.
