Internet users voiced their disapproval of honoring Dr Dre in this manner.

Dr Dre has faced longstanding accusations of engaging in violent behavior against women, with his ex-wives and partners openly accusing him of abuse. Despite offering apologies for his actions, the internet remained dissatisfied with the decision, highlighting ongoing concerns surrounding Dr Dre's past behavior.

Dr Dre pens apology for his abusive history

Issuing an apology to all the women he has ever abused, Dr Dre released a statement to NY Times, expressing his commitment to becoming a better person.  “I apologize to the women I’ve hurt. I deeply regret what I did and know that it has forever impacted all of our lives.”

“Twenty-five years ago I was a young man drinking too much and in over my head with no real structure in my life. However, none of this is an excuse for what I did.
