'The Wrong Mr Right': Meet Anna Marie Dobbins, Rib Hillis, Vivica A Fox and the rest of the cast of the LMN thriller
'The Wrong Mr Right' is one of five LMN thrillers releasing this year as part of the 'The Wrong' franchise movies. The new installments include 'The Wrong Real Estate Agent,' 'The Wrong Fiancé,' 'The Wrong Mr Right,' 'The Wrong Prince Charming' and 'The Wrong Valentine,' with the last one marking the channel’s 25th “Wrong” movie, all of which have starred and been executive produced by Fox.
'The Wrong Mr Right' centers around a daughter who suspects her mom's new boyfriend may not be what he's making himself out to be. Vivica A Fox, known for her role in 'Empire' will be joining the cast of this exciting franchise. Here is the cast bringing this thriller to your screens in January.
Anna Marie Dobbins as Jessica
Dobbins is known for her works in 'Christmas Matchmakers' (2019), 'The Wrong House Sitter' (2020) and 'Stalked By My Doctor: Patients' Revenge' (2018). Her recent works include 'The Wrong House Sitter' (@020), 'Deadly Mile High Club' (2020), 'The Pom Pom Murders' (2020) and 'Christmas Together' (@020). She has a release titled 'Women' that is in post produciton.
Eric Roberts as Hal
Roberts is an Academy Award nominee known for his roles as Buck in 'Runaway Train' (1985), Michael Z Wolfman in 'Inherent Vice' (2014), Maroni in 'The Dark Knight' (2008) and James Munroe in 'The Expendables' (2010). His works in 2020 include 'Juvie', 'Dark Cupid', 'Brutality', and '6 Rounds of Chloë'. According to his IMDb page, he has quite a lot of releases in post-production including 'The Sleepless', 'The Private Eye', 'The Fusion', 'Terror of the Soul', 'Running with Fear', and 'Insite'. Roberts had been nominated for an Oscar in 1986 for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for 'Runaway Train', and was nominated for three Golden Globes as well. One in 1979 for Best Motion Picture Acting Debut - Male for 'King of the Gypsies' (1978), another in 1984 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama for 'Star 80' (1983) and one in 1986 for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture for 'Runaway Train' (1985). In 2020 he won a September Award at the European Cinematography Awards (ECA) for Best Actor in 'Alter Ego'. He also won a May award at the Istanbul Film Awards for Best Supporting Actor for the feature film Anatomy of an Antihero: Redemption.
Krista Allen as Tracy
Allen is known for her roles as Lydia Marlowe in 'Significant Mother' (2015), Jenna Avid in 'Baywatch' (2000-2001), Stacy in 'Anger Management' (2003), and Tuffy in 'Feast' (2005). She was also in the 2020 movie 'The Wrong Stepfather' where she played the role of Mrs. Woodley. She has four releases titled 'After Masks' (2021), 'Shadows' (2021), 'Punkin' (2021), and 'Bits' in post-production. In 2018, she won a Festival Award at the Hollywood Boulevard Film Festival for Best Actress for 'Eleven Eleven' (2018), and an Award of Merit Special Mention at the IndieFEST film awards for Leading Actress in the same production. She also won a Festival Award at the Silver State Film Festival for Best Supporting Actress - Feature Film for 'Shadows.'
Rib Hillis as Paul
Hillis is not only an actor but also a host, producer, and model. He's had a part in major productions such as 'Ugly Betty' (2006), 'Two and a Half Men' (2008), 'CSI', 'Melissa and Joey' (2012), 'Bull', 'Eve' (2004), 'Angel' (1999) and 'Modern Family' (2014). Many may also remember him from the Emmy-winning ABC show 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition'. He has also played roles in award-winning films such as 'Grooms Cake', 'Life's a Beach' and recent films such as 'Cowboys vs. Dinosaurs', and 'Timber The Treasure Dog & Shockwave'.
Vivica A Fox as Sandra
Fox is known for her roles as Jasmine Dubrow in 'Independence Day' (1996), Vernita Green in 'Kill Bill: Vol. 1' (2003), and Ms B Haven in 'Batman & Robin' (1997). Her recent works include 'The Wrong Stepfather' (2020), 'The Wrong Cheerleader Coach' (2020), 'Joy & Hope' (2020). She will also star in 'The Wrong Valentin' and 'The Wrong Real Estate Agent' which will release in 2021. In 1998, she won the Black Film Award at the Acapulco Black Film Festival for Best Actress for 'Soul Food' (1997) and in 2006 she won an Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series for '1-800-Missing' (2003).
The rest of the cast includes Dominique Swain, Steve Richard Harris as Marc, Olivier Paris as Rick, Michael Gaglio as Bill, Jason Faunt as John, Kristine Debell as Janet, Lisa London as Sarah, Kristine DeBell as Janet, Meredith Thomas as Katy and Lisa London as Sarah.
The official synopsis reads, "Jessica (Anna Marie Dobbins) moves back home after college and is surprised to find her mother's new boyfriend, Paul, is moving in as well. While working at a restaurant owned by her mother's best friend Sandra (Vivica A Fox,) Jessica observes Paul fighting with another woman and enlists the help of Sandra and private investigator Hal (Eric Roberts) who suspect something very strange. When Jessica discovers Paul is not who he seems, she sets out to prove he is the wrong Mr. Right. Krista Allen, Rib Hillis, Dominique Swain also star."
