Los Angeles, California: Netflix has once again struck gold in the form of ‘Wednesday’ and fans can’t stop raving about the series that features multiple characters from the ‘Addams Family’. The series chronicles the journey of the iconic character Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) who has a cold and emotionless personality that makes it difficult for her to connect with her schoolmates. However, she soon finds out that she has psychic powers and can help the authorities in solving a local murder mystery along with the Sheriff of Jericho.

The coming-of-age supernatural comedy has become a massive hit among viewers, especially young adults, and can’t wait for Season 2 to arrive. The ending of Season 1 shocked people and made them feel that it has the potential of becoming a franchise. The ending saw the death of a major character and a shocking villain emerging in Sheriff, Vermont. However, people are curious to know about what happened to Wednesday’s love interest. Yes, we are talking about Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan), who has a romantic interest in Wednesday.

In Episode 7 of the series, Wednesday and Tyler share a kiss, making everyone believe that they are a couple. However, she experiences another vision and gets to know that Tyler is the monster. In the final episode, Wednesday and some of her werewolf friends fight Tyler in his Hyde form and defeat him. Even though we see him in police custody at the end, the monster unleashes itself from within Tyler and looks to wreak havoc. Is Tyler still in police custody? Or he has escaped? Well, the showrunner has given an interesting answer to the query which might give fans something to look out for in the upcoming season.

While talking to Variety, showrunner Alfred Gough has made it clear that the cliffhanger ending makes room for Tyler to make a comeback to the series and this is how they actually planned to convey it to viewers. He added, “Yeah. Absolutely. He’s out there. That’s what we wanted to convey.”

Meanwhile, co-showrunner Miles Millar noted that they have already imagined what they want to show in Season 2 even when they don’t know if the show will be renewed for another edition or not. He added, “Yeah. For us, it’s always looking at the future, and when we sit down to create a show, it’s looking at multiple seasons, ideally. Often, you want to see which characters or cast pop and who you like to write for. So you want to keep it open and organic enough to change it and evolve, but we certainly have a pretty clear runway of what we want to do in future seasons.”

As of writing this, Season 2 of ‘Wednesday’ has not been confirmed, but we are pretty sure that Netflix wouldn’t want to face the wrath of viewers by not renewing the show for another edition even when it has received such a massive response.

‘Wednesday’ sees Jenna Ortega playing the titular character while ‘Game of Thrones’ star Gwendoline Christie plays Larissa Weems. Other actors to appear on the show include Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia Addams), Christina Ricci (Marilyn Thornhill), Luis Guzman (Gomez Addams), Percy Hynes White (Xavier Thorpe), and Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley Addams).
