'The Madison' gets exciting Season 3 update ahead of much-awaited Season 2 premiere
'The Madison' Season 1 recently wrapped up in March, and the show has already been renewed for Season 3. The news was announced on Instagram, and the caption read, "Season 2 is already in the works, and now it's official: The Madison has been renewed for Season 3 as well!" The first installment of the neo-Western drama was split into two parts, with episodes dropping on March 14 and 21 on Paramount+. It was greenlit for Season 2 in August 2025, months ahead of the much-awaited series premiere. The show focuses on Stacy Clyburn (Michelle Pfeiffer), who moves to southwest Montana's Madison River valley from New York City after the deaths of her husband, Preston (Kurt Russell), and brother-in-law, Paul (Matthew Fox). Centered on themes of grief, loss, and emotional recovery, the series was met with a positive reception. It was written and created by Taylor Sheridan, and the debut season was directed by Christina Alexandra Voros.
'The Madison' weaves together two different settings: the rustic landscape of Montana and the cityscape of Manhattan. The series follows Stacy and her family as they try to rebuild their lives after tragedy and find purpose with each other's support. Deadline previously reported that Season 2 of 'The Madison' was filmed between September 2025 and January 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Paramount+ has not yet announced whether the second installment will premiere later this year or in early 2027. Season 1 spanned six episodes, and the sophomore season will include the same number of installments. There is currently no word on the episode count for the show's third season.
Paramount+ reported (using numbers from Luminate) that the premiere episode of 'The Madison' garnered 8 million global views in its first 10 days on the platform, making it Sheridan’s most-watched debut ever. Luminate added that the family melodrama was the biggest freshman season launch among women aged 35 and above in the country, increasing the excitement surrounding Seasons 2 and 3. The series stars Beau Garrett as Abigail Reese, Patrick J. Adams as Russell McIntosh, Elle Chapman as Paige McIntosh, Amiah Miller as Bridgette Reese, Alaina Pollack as Macy Reese, Ben Schnetzer as Van Davis, Kevin Zegers as Cade Harris, and Rebecca Spence as Liliana Weeks. 'The Madison' is produced by Paramount Television Studios in association with 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions. Its executive producers include David Hutkin, John Linson, Ron Burkle, Art Linson, David C. Glasser, Keith Cox, Michael Friedman, Bob Yari, Voros, Sheridan, and the show's lead stars, Pfeiffer and Russell.
