After being proven innocent of bullying accusations, former APRIL member Lee Naeun is in talks with agencies for acting gigs

Former DSP Media girl group APRIL disbanded in January of 2022 but it seems like member Lee Naeun is on a new journey with her solo acting career. After it was revealed that Naeun had been embroiled in a school bullying controversy, the girl group APRIL as a whole also suffered viciously due to accusations from former member Hyun-joo, who claimed that all the members of APRIL had bullied her over her years with the girl group.

While Naeun was officially set free of all charges and was proven innocent back in January of 2022, ahead of the group’s unfortunate disbandment, DSP Media announced that the alleged victim who accused Naeun of being a bully had finally admitted that all of their claims were false and they apologized to the idol with a written letter. Soon after that, fans began hoping for Naeun, and it seems like now it is finally time for Naeun to bounce back.

Will Ex-APRIL’s Naeun not return as an idol?

After many rumors claimed that ex-APRIL member Lee Naeun was being scouted by acting agency Namoo Actors, which is home to popular Korean actors like Song Kang, Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, Ko Woo-rim, Chae Bin, Lee Joon-gi, Oh Seung-hoon, Park Eun-bin, Roh Jeong-eui among others. On April 28, the agency representative reported that Naeun had met with the company.

It was revealed that Lee Naeun was in talks with the representatives but nothing has been finalized yet. It was also revealed that Naeun was in talks with not only Namoo Actors but many other Korean management agencies and was trying to pick the best match for her future endeavors. Fans who wish to see Naeun return as an idol will have to wait some more as it was reported that Naeun feels ideal for herself to turn into an actor rather than making a singing debut.

Fans who were eagerly waiting for an update about Naeun are now glad about the former idol turning her career around to be an actress.
