UNIVERSAL CITY, CALIFORNIA: 'The Voice' Season 24's semi-finalist Nini Iris faced unexpected elimination, leaving fans questioning the surprising decision.

Despite her soulful voice gaining global acclaim and viral clips, insufficient votes dashed her chances of reaching the finale.

With fans rallying behind Nini for victory, the abrupt revelation of her elimination has sparked speculation.

Some viewers suspect ABC's planning, speculating a desire to avoid a repeat of Season 22's semi-finals, where three singers from Team Blake Shelton advanced to the finale, raising doubts about the show's impartiality.

A fan theorized Nini's exit on the Reddit thread, "My theory is that they changed the voting to the one artist only format in response to the backlash that Season 22's semifinals got (specifically the fact that Blake got all 3 of his artists in the finale and John's team was wiped out almost instantly)."

"The frustrating thing is that they let Blake have three artists (2 very mediocre) in the finale in season 22 but they wouldn't do the same for Niall who has actual artists that can sing their bu**s off and are all actually deserving!! Like that is just bs honestly," commented another.

A fan theorized, "First, I don't think many have accounted for the fact that Nini's popularity was boosted by international support. That is, non-voting support. Second, did producers have it out for her? Typically, singing placement does matter, and Nini went first in the instant save, which is the slot farthest from viewer's memories when voting."
