'Prison Brides' star Svea admitted that she is not ready to marry Joseph

DUSSELDORF, GERMANY: 'Prison Brides' star Svea confessed in Episode 5 that she is not ready for marriage. Alongside her boyfriend, Svea wants to focus on her career despite starting a family at this age.

On the other hand, Joseph claims that he is ready to start a family with Svea. However, he realizes that he should first do something in his life before asking Svea to marry him. Svea confesses, "I don't miss him," as she is too focused on her business. Besides, Svea has a horse and her hobby, riding, is too time-consuming for her to focus on anything else.

Svea lives in Germany, 12 hours away from Joseph, who is in Michigan. Svea says, "I hope Joseph doesn't ask for marriage." She then claims that instead of tying the knot, she wants to grow together with her boyfriend and achieve something in life as they are in a long-distance relationship.

Even though Svea is well-settled in her life, Joseph still has a lot to do. He has just gotten out of prison and is looking for a job. After Svea's honest confession, a fan tweeted, "Svea is so silly. Joseph is like a neopet to her that she plays with on occasion."

Another wrote, "Joseph was a social experiment for Svea, now that he’s out her research is complete and it’s on to the next thing." Another fan slammed Svea, "Actually nvm, Svea is just here for a TV moment."

Svea revealed in 'Prison Brides' that she got married at the age of 19 and had a daughter from her previous marriage.

After splitting with her ex-husband, she chose to focus on her career rather than making an impulsive decision to marry again. She then met Joseph through online pen pals. They exchanged letters for six months before officially starting to date. After discovering a deep connection, Svea decided to open up about her relationship with her parents, claiming that her love was reciprocated.

Joseph reveals to his girlfriend Svea over a video call that he has landed a new job. He started working at a factory and will be earning $21/hour.

As Joseph shared the good news with his girlfriend, Svea was elated. She laughed over the phone in excitement. Knowing that Joseph is working hard to earn money, fans cheered for her.
