ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Lifetime released an all-new series 'Prison Brides'. It seems the streaming platform was in so a hurry to release the new show that it cut short its other reality show 'Married At First Sight'.s

'MAFS' new season used to have 2 hour-long episodes. However, the release schedule has changed now that 'Prison Brides' has taken up the time in the new release schedule.

'MAFS' has now cut down to having 1.30-hour-long episodes. The half an hour time is taken up by the newly released 'Prison Brides.' Not seeing Lifetime address the change in release time made fans furious.

A fan took to Facebook to claim, 'They(Lifetime) cut MAFS short for PRISON BRIDE, REALLY REALLY." To this one replied, "Show used to be 2 hours not including the After Party." Another answered, "After party show is on at 10:36 after Prison Bride."

"I was wondering what happened," commented one. A Reddit fan slammed Lifetime for changing time, "LifeTime & Kinetic Content seems determined to continuously drive away viewers – unusual strategy for the entertainment industry."

Seeing 'MAFS' Afterparty being pushed after 'Prison Brides' made one claim, "That does not make sense. After party should be after the Mafs show, then Prison Brides."

When will 'MAFS' Afterparty be released now?

'MAFS' Season 17 will be released at its regular time at 8 pm ET on Lifetime. However, the episodes have been cut down to being 1.30 hours long. Before 'Prison Brides' was released, the episodes used to be 2 hours long.

When does Lifetime's 'Prison Brides' release?

'Prison Brides' is scheduled to release at 9.31 pm ET on Lifetime. The episodes will be approximately 1 hour long. Besides tuning in to Lifetime to watch the new episode, one can also stream the docuseries for free at with Philo's free trial. One can also tune in to Sling and DirecTV Stream to watch the episodes.

What is 'Prison Brides' all about?

'Prison Brides' revolves around the life of six couples. The women in the relationship have fallen in love with American prisoners. As their life unfolds, they will be seen crossing countries and pushing their limits to finally live a life closer to their boyfriends/fiances.

Some offenders are soon to be released from jail, therefore, their partners will be seen supporting them and planning a future with them ahead of the release.

The official synopsis claims, "It follows seven women from around the world who believe they have found their soulmates in the most unexpected of places, American prisons. While they started off as prison pen pals, these women fell hard and found themselves willing to risk it all for love. Will true love prevail for these star-crossed lovers with the odds stacked against them?"
