'The Boys' Season 5 marks the end of the hit Amazon Prime Video superhero show. After four seasons of high-octane action, grisly humor, and bloody carnage, the series finally comes to an end in the form of an explosive final installment. With the show not shy of racking up the body count, it is safe to assume that fatalities will be high in Season 5. Ahead of its Wednesday release, we take a look at five characters likely to die in the highly anticipated conclusion of the series.

Billy Butcher

Season 4 confirmed that Karl Urban's Billy Butcher was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer after his extensive use of Temp V. This makes him one of the prime candidates to die, especially since all signs point to an explosive confrontation against Homelander (Antony Starr). His vicious vendetta means bringing down the supe in the end, but also not possibly surviving the finale.

Homelander

Those familiar with his death in the comics will know that Black Noir kills Homelander in the Oval Office after the supe takes out the President. But with Butcher (Karl Urban) and the antagonist yet to trade blows in one explosive confrontation, there is a chance the Noir storyline will be altered. Things will have to come to an end for the evil superhero at some point. So, expect Homelander to be one of the many biting the dust.

A-Train

One of the supes whose character arc has been impressive over the last four seasons, A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), is finally looking like a good guy. But bettering himself with Homelander in the mix is also a good way of putting himself on a collision course with death. The redemption storyline can be fulfilled by A-Train sacrificing himself to save one of The Boys or any member of the public. This completes his journey from a cocky and evil supe to a hero who died saving lives.

The Deep

Much like A-Train, The Deep (Chace Crawford) was supposed to redeem himself at some point. However, the character has proved himself to be an absolute fraud, serving his own personal interests. After making it through four seasons, there is a high possibility that his time on the series will come to an end. Furthermore, he isn't liked by Homelander either. The only question that remains is who kills him: The Boys or Homelander?

Mother's Milk

The Boys will see some casualties, and while Frenchie (Tomer Capone) is tipped to be one of the names dying, there might be a surprise in the form of Mother's Milk (Laz Alonso) kicking the bucket. His hate for Homelander comes from the supe's sadistic and murderous nature, making him one of the members of 'The Boys' keen on getting the better of the evil supe. However, unlike Butcher, he has no powers, making him one of the easy targets to die at the hands of Homelander if they were to square off.
