Who stars in Turkish fantasy comedy 'Oh Belinda'? Meet the cast of Netflix remake of 1986 classic 'Aaahh Belinda'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Living in a fantasy world is everybody's dream. Running away from reality is everyone's desire. But what if you get stuck in a life you were supposed to act? 'Oh Belinda' on Netflix is a modern remake of the 1986 classic, 'Aaahh Belinda'. Directed by Deniz Yorulmazer and produced by OGM Pictures, the movie traces the story of a young actress as her ideal existence abruptly enters her character’s world.
Netflix, the hub of different language content, there are series and movies of different genres available on the streamer. It also has children's content and has obtained success in streaming K-dramas and J-Dramas. The streaming giant will release 'Oh Belinda' on April 7. The Turkish fantasy-comedy is a remake of the classic that was helmed by Atıf Yılmaz and starred Müjde Ar in the lead. The remake tells the story of Serap, whose perfect life takes a madcap turn when she agrees to star in a commercial and suddenly gets transported to her character's world, in which she is a traditional woman with a husband, and a family, something she frowned upon. Neslihan Atagül
Born in Istanbul in 1992, Atagül studied at Yeditepe University Theater Department. She took her first step in acting with the TV series "Yaprak Dökümü" in 2006. Along with that, she starred with Vahide Gördüm and Cetin Tekindor in her first feature film 'Ilk Ask'. She received the Promising Young Actress Award at the Golden Boll International Film Festival for her role in this film.
Atagül is better known for playing Kara Sevda, a television series distributed to more than 110 nations, and was the only show from Turkey to receive the 2017 International Emmy Award. She holds many honors and awards throughout her acting career. She is the lead in 'Oh Belinda' playing play Serap, a woman focused on her career in acting.
Serkan Çayoglu
A Turkish actor of German descent, Çayoglu, is best known for his work in the films Kiraz Mevsimi, Yeni Hayat, and Halka. Born in 1987, he completed his studies at the Economics Department of Erlangen University in Germany where he started his modeling career. Çayoglu got recognition with 'Cherry Season' (2014) as Ayaz. He is one of the essential characters in 'Oh Belinda' playing Suat.
Necip Memili
Born in 1980, Memili is a Turkish actor and a theatrical studies graduate of Çukurova University State Conservatory. Memili began his acting career with the Adana Seyhan Municipal Theatre as an amateur actor in 1999. His major television debut also included a part in the Arka Sokaklar series. He is a significant character in 'Oh Belinda.'
Beril Pozam
Born in 1995, Pozam is a Turkish actress from Istanbul. She did her undergraduate education at the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts, Bilkent University. She is known for her work in 'Baba' (2022) and 'Yali Çapkini' (2022).
Anil Çelik
Celik is an actor and director born in 1988 in Ankara. He is known for his work like 'Erkenci Kus' (2018), 'Night of Silence' (2012) and 'Kollama' (2008).
