'American Idol' is heating up with one brilliant performance after another. Last week, six hopefuls were shown the way out in this season's first live show. In a recent poll conducted by GoldDerby, the audience rated the performances by the participants in last week's 'Songs of Faith.' The ratings showed that Hannah Harper and Brooks Rosser are firmly at the top of the table. Harper dazzled the audience with her rendition of 'At the Cross (Love Ran Red)' while Rosser mesmerized the viewers with 'Imagine.' Harper has gathered the support of 27.40% voters, while Brooks was backed by 12.63%. Both have weeks to establish their supremacy, but the ones at the bottom of the list may not have much time remaining in the show.

Last week's live show was planned to eliminate 8 contestants, bringing the number down to 12. However, an unprecedented number of votes prevented the last two eliminations from happening. "Tens of millions of votes coming in at a rate we have never seen before. Truly unprecedented," American Idol Host Ryan Seacrest shared. "And to ensure complete accuracy with the numbers, I was literally just told we are not going to announce eliminations tonight," the host continued. "This is the first time it’s ever happened—believe me, I’ve been here every night."

The upcoming live show on Monday will begin by sending two hopefuls home, after which the remaining will participate in the '90s in the annual Judges’ Song Contest. Americans will vote on the performances, and the other hopefuls will say goodbye, leaving the field at 11. As per the poll, the three contestants in danger of elimination are Lucas Leon, Jesse Findling, and Daniel Stallworth. Also, Instagram following seems to be giving the hopefuls a leg up in the poll.

Hannah Harper is one of the two people in the remaining contestants who boasts a following above 300k. The other one, Kyndal Inskeep, is ranked 6th. Brooks Rosser seems to be banking on organic support from his small town of BelAir to have a good footing in the competition. He has garnered significant media coverage and community support. The bottom three are steadily improving each week, but the lackluster fanfare around them could be a cause for concern. All three have some of the lowest views amongst the top 14 for their performance videos. All is not lost, though. American Idol is known for delivering surprises; one good performance and the expected rankings could go for a toss. You can watch 'American Idol' Season 24 on ABC and Hulu.
