MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA: Reuben Solo, a contestant on the 'America's Got Talent' Season 19, is a stand-up and sketch comedian hailing from Australia. He first gained popularity on social media in 2020, showcasing his unique blend of self-referential and surreal humor.

The Melbourne native pursued a degree in film and television before working as an editor and producer for the Luke and Lewis comedy podcast until 2021. With a growing online presence, he has amassed 572,000 subscribers on TikTok and received 28 million likes on his videos.

Additionally, Reuben hosted a podcast called 'Stick to the Script' in 2021. Known for his comedic style that includes elements of self-reference and surrealism, Solo's performances often feature innovative concepts like plotting the audience's reaction on a graph as the routine unfolds.

His comedy talent was recognized in 2023 when he won the Weekly Award for Best Comedy at the Adelaide Fringe Festival. Afterward, he also took to his Instagram page to spread his joy and excitement to his followers. 

"My show has just won an award. This comes as no surprise to me as I bribed the judges to the tune of 50 grand, which they immediately accepted and told me they would have done it for a lot less. So now there is egg on my face but a wreath on my poster. The Fringe is fun. The tour has just begun. Come watch the show," he captioned the post.

'AGT' Season 19 star Reuben Solo quit his job to do comedy

Reuben Solo made the bold decision to leave his job to pursue a career in comedy. In an Instagram post, he delved into the topic at length. He shared insights from his past experience working as an editor and producer on the popular Luke and Lewis comedy podcast.

The NBC show contestant started by writing, "I quit my job to do comedy! Yesterday was my last day at work for Luke and Lewis and I couldn't be more grateful for the experience and all the opportunities they've given me."

"I'm stoked to be able to do comedy full time now and it's in large part due to @lukekidgell and @lewspears for showing me the ropes and always supporting me with my own career. I guested on @luke_and_lewis yesterday and you can go watch/listen right now! And speaking of podcasts, the second episode of stick to the script is out tomorrow. See you there," he further added.

'AGT' Season 19 contestant Reuben Solo is currently busy with the 'Please Clap 2024 Tour'

At the moment, 'America's Got Talent' contestant Reuben Solo is on his 'Please Clap 2024 Tour'. He has a packed schedule of performances lined up in various cities starting with Melbourne on July 26, followed by London on July 30 and 31.

After that, Reuben will be spreading his comedic talents in Brighton on August 1, Bristol on August 4, and Birmingham on August 5. His tour will continue throughout the month of August and into September.

Reuben has been no stranger to touring, having embarked on his first tour, 'Good Boy', in 2022. Following the success of his debut tour, he then took to the road once again in 2023 for his second tour, aptly named 'Palindrome'.

These experiences have only fueled Reuben's passion for performing and connecting with his fans, making each tour a memorable and exciting chapter in his musical journey.
