In Episode 3 of Season 14, viewers witnessed Teresa Giudice supporting her daughter as she prepared to leave the comfort of her family home and head off to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, a considerable distance away from her parents' Montville residence.
It was a poignant moment for the family as they wrestled with the reality of Gabriella spreading her wings and embarking on this new adventure. During the latest episode, Teresa disclosed that her former husband, Joe Giudice, is not contributing to Gabriella's education expenses, adding another layer of complexity to the situation.
Despite the challenges and uncertainties that lay ahead, the Giudice family stood united in their support for Gabriella as she took this significant step towards independence and self-discovery.
"Joe’s not helping. He can’t right now. Joe’s still trying to get his life together in the Bahamas. But it’s OK. I’m thankful that I can pay for it," Teresa told the producers. Teresa confirmed that her new husband, Louie Ruelas, indeed was assisting with the payment of her college tuition.

Louie chimed in, offering Joe a warm greeting as they all reflected on the bittersweet moment of seeing their youngest child embark on this new chapter of her life. “It’s a sad day, but it’s a good day as well,” Joe said.
Gia expressed her true emotions to her younger sister regarding the decision to move and said, “No, seriously, I’m so proud of you; the University of Michigan is such a huge accomplishment. You should be so proud of yourself.”

“I’m excited. I’m taking an economics course for a semester. So, I’m excited to learn about that because that’s what I’m planning on majoring in," Gabriella said. Gia added, "She's gonna handle your finances, Dad. She’ll make sure everything’s stored away." “That’s what I’ll do. I can handle people’s money," Gabriella added.
