Born on August 24, 1940, Nick spent his early years on Bay Avenue. Nick's journey in public service began on September 27, 1959, when he joined the Hicksville Fire Department as a Department Sergeant of Arms. In 1960, he entered the Nassau County Department of Public Works, commencing as a laborer and steadily progressing to the position of Highway Maintenance Supervisor.
In 1980, Nick was elected Water Commissioner and served as District Treasurer. Known for his jovial nature, Nick remains active and often enjoys quality time with his daughter, Theresa. However, consistently harbored a sense of 'nervousness' regarding Theresa's practice of psychic readings.
In a recent episode of 'Theresa Caputo: Raising Spirits,' the father-daughter duo was seen engaging in a game of pickleball. According to Lifestyle Magazine, Theresa expressed, "I think as parents, when something is wrong or upsetting our children, we just want to fix it for them, but my dad can't fix what's going on between Larry and me.' She added, "Like everyone else in the family, my parents are saddened by what's happening between Larry and me. Despite the difficulty, they are there, offering love and unwavering support."
