We're all guilty of watching cooking shows and thinking -- 'I can do that!'. Now, for 24 amateur cooks, it's time to put their money where their mouth is, as they gear up to star on 'Top Chef Amateurs'. Bravo's latest cooking show will see these chefs taking on some classic challenges, with a bit of help from the show's alumni, who will be cooking alongside them, providing the support they need.

If you're looking for other culinary shows to check out, you might want to consider 'MasterChef Legends', 'The Chef Show', 'Chopped Junior' and 'BBQ Brawl'.

Who is Chef Jennifer Caroll?

A 'Top Chef' alumni, Carroll has worked in some of the best restaurants across the country. She has worked for nine years under three Star Michelin Chef Eric Ripert at Le Bernardin and 10 Arts. She was also worked with Chef Marcus Samuelsson at the Red Rooster and Samuelsson at Hamilton Princess.

Four-time 'Top Chef' contestant

If there is any chef who knows her way around the 'Top Chef' kitchen, it would have to be Caroll, seeing that she has competed four times in total. Her first run on the show was during season 6.

She then returned for season 8 of 'Top Chef: All-Stars' and then again for 'Top Chef: Last Chance Kitchen', which was part of season 15. Her final run was on season 17. Although she won't exactly be competing on 'Top Chef Amateurs', she will be assisting the chef she will be assigned to, making this her fifth season. Competing for a total of four times on the show is no easy feat, seeing that it is a relatively high-pressure situation. However, Caroll claims she has learned a lot from each experience that has helped her grow.

"I've learned over the years to not be so hard on myself, and focus on how I can continue to grow and challenge myself. I'm a lot more positive and happy — positivity, happiness, self-confidence, and self-acceptance have become my power," Carroll said while talking to Eater Philapelphia.

"Top Chef is very much a mental game. You go in knowing that it's going to get really hard, but you have to keep going for your goals."

Business-woman and chef

Apart from being a TV personality and working at some of the best culinary institutions around, Caroll also runs Carroll Couture Cuisine, a catering and consulting company.

She's been quick to adapt to the changing tide of the culinary world, offering classes and workshops on her website as well (in case you want to up your own cooking game!). She is the woman behind Spice Finch, the Mediterranean bar and kitchen in Philadelphia.

On 'Top Chef Amateurs', Chef Jennifer Caroll makes a comeback as part of the 'Top Chef' alum to help the amateur cooks as they race against the clock while tackling challenges.

She will also be a part of the judge's panel this season, alongside Eric Adjepong, Richard Blais, Shirley Chung, Stephanie Cmar, Tiffany Derry, Joe Flamm, Gregory Gourdet, Melissa King, Kwame Onwuachi, Dale Talde and Isaac Toups.
