'Top Chef' judge Mark Peel dead: Who are his two wives?
'Top Chef' judge Mark Peel died on Sunday, June 20 at his Los Angeles home aged 66. Sources close to him revealed he had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer just nine days before he breathed his last. He is survived by his three children from his previous marriage and two with his wife Daphne Brogdon who survives him.
Twitter-verse is in mourning after the news of Peel's death became public. "Rest In Peace, Mark Peel. Campanile (his business with ex-wife) was where you took your parents to brunch when they came to town. My dad talked about that brisket hash for years," read a fan tweet. "Hit by this sad news on Father’s Day of the loss of chef Mark Peel to cancer at the age of 66 - in the 90s Campanile was iconic in so many ways, including its cathedral-like space on La Brea— Rest In Peace Mr. Peel," another tweet read. This is the second death this month that shook the culinary world, the first being Henry 'Nacho' Laun from 'Wahlburgers' who died on June 1.

Who are Mark Peel's two wives?
Nancy Silverton
Nancy Silverton and Mark Peel were married between 1985 to 2005. Like Peel, Silverton is a renowned chef and the co-owner of Pizzeria Mozza in Los Angeles and New Port Beach. She also owns Osteria Mozza, Mozza2Go, and chi SPACCA in Los Angeles. She also founded the world-renowned La Brea Bakery and teamed up with Peel to co-found Campanile Restaurant, a place loved by LA for the 23 years it was in business. The place closed down in 2012, a couple of years after Peel and Silverton's divorce.
She and Peel had three kids of their own — Vanessa, Benjamin and Oliver. All three have adopted Silverton-Peel as their last name. Silverton has appeared on a number of TV shows herself. She has made appearances on 'Bake Off Italia - dolci in fomo', 'Guy's Grocery Games', 'Dinner Takes All', 'Spring Baking Championship'. and 'MasterChef Australia' to name a few. Like Peel, Silverton is a well-decorated chef with the James Beard Foundation Outstanding Chef Award, Bon Appétit Pastry Chef Award, and more such accolades under her belt.
Daphne Brogdon
If you are a Food Network enthusiast, you'd know Daphne Brogdon quite well. The television personality, standup comic, and blogger married Peel in 2005. She has appeared in a number of TV shows because of her quick wit and ability to improvise and entertain. 'Guily Pleasures', 'Playing It Straight', 'Daphne Dishes', 'Las Recetas de Daphne', and 'Around the Fire' are just a couple of television shows she has appeared in.
After becoming a mother, she was looking for ways to juggle caring for her kids and maintaining a career together. She created two websites that helped her connect with mother bloggers around the world where they discussed their issues among other things. Brogdon also took charge of catering, testing recipes, and managing the business development and marketing of Peel's ventures. The couple shared two kids — Viveen Peel and Rex Peel. The two were separated in the past couple of years, revealed Brogdon's tribute to Peel on her Instagram page.
