David, CEO of the Evergreen Group and a lawyer, is a prominent Singaporean businessman who owns more than fifteen firms. His companies include wood, real estate, food and beverage, lifestyle, and finance, among others.
David began his career as a trainee lawyer before joining his family's firm in 2014.
David, an honors graduate of the elite University of Bristol Law School, Peking University, and Seoul National University, currently manages Evergreen Group Holdings, which has operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and other countries. He is the managing partner of YSL Legal LLP, a boutique law company that specializes in civil and corporate problems.

'Super Rich in Korea' star David Yong to establish K-pop label in South Korea
David, the CEO of Singapore's Evergreen Group Holdings and a K-pop musician and producer, intends to launch a K-pop label in Seoul this year. He intends to leverage his strong presence in Southeast Asia to grow into the entertainment industry.
After making his K-pop debut with the single 'In My Pocket', which was released independently in 2022, the K-pop aficionado began developing his business network in South Korea by spending 10 billion won ($7.5 million) on the K-pop entertainment firm Attrakt. He had no prior connection to Attrakt when he opted to invest in the agency, which was at the time dealing with legal issues with its four-member female group Fifty Fifty, its sole artist.
David went forward with the investment, trusting fully in the agency's concept. He is now aggressively recruiting members for the second generation of Fifty Fifty from Southeast Asia.
The idea to form Fifty Fifty a worldwide group, stems from David's belief that variety is what will propel K-pop forward over the next decade.
'Super Rich in Korea' star David Yong initially struggled to learn Korean language
One of the most significant impediments to entering a new region was, of course, language. The majority of producers and artists in the business interact in Korean.
David said he had to learn Korean for a very short period of time. Within two to four months, he had trained and acquired the Korean language and culture.
David has lived in China, Korea, and the United Kingdom.
