LAS VEGAS, NEVADA: 'American Idol' Season 22 contestant Athena Jett is a singer and a university student. She is the daughter of famous poker players Karina Jett and Chip Jett.
Athena's parents have been former Full Tilt Poker stars and have played in multiple live tournaments. Karina and Chip made history becoming the first married couple to make a major final table together, according to The Hendon Mob.
Meanwhile, Athena is currently pursuing her Computer Science bachelor's degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
She shared on her LinkedIn that she has been passionate about being the change that she wants to see in the world. The ABC show contestant is also designing the tools "I wish I had sooner." She is a big sister of Angelina Jett and an artist.
Athena has already made her singing debut and released multiple singles including, 'The Gamble'. The modern jazz singer started singing at the age of 10 has been inspired by Ella Fitzgerald.
Athena reflected on her inspiration in a recent interview that she was introduced to Fitzgerald's music when she was 14, and the singer has become her inspiration ever since.
The aspiring singer added, "She is my number one idol in the world. I don't think there's an Ella Fitzgerald song I don't like." Further, she has recently teased her upcoming song 'With You' on her social media.
Athena Jett's sister interrupts her 'American Idol' Season 22 audition
Athena Jett was accompanied by her younger sister Angelina Jett during her 'American Idol' Season 22 audition.
However, Angelina interrupted Athena during her performance. In the preview of the ABC show, Katy Perry shared, "An audition that really blew me away happened in my hometown of Santa Barbara."
Katy was impressed with the sister connection. However, after the performance, Katy told Angelina, "You love your sister so much but you could kind of tell her sister who wasn't going to make the cut."
Angelina responded, "I'm so sorry. I don't want to be barging in her anything." Katy was visibly shocked and said, "She interrupted and she goes, can I please suggest that my sister sing this one song." Katy claimed that Angelina and Athena's bond moved the ABC show judges to tears.
Athena shared the preview clip and wrote in the caption, "Still one of the craziest things that’s ever happened to me. My sister’s support, along with the support of my family and everyone else in my life is such a gift. I’m so lucky to have this experience."

'American Idol' Season 22 contestant Athena Jett has been in a relationship with Tin Le. The couple has been dating for more than six years and still going strong. Athena recently celebrated her sixth anniversary on February 4 and shared a series of cuddled-up photos with her beau, Tin.
Athena's partner is also a singer and has documented his singing skills on his TikTok. Athena called Tin her 'best friend' and captioned her anniversary post, "Happy anniversary! another year, another slay. love you so much bbg."
