'Survivor 50' served 'A Side Dish of Chaos' that no one was prepared for when the episode aired on April 29 on CBS. After last week's Jimmy Fallon twist that led to Christian Hubicki's exit, this week promised more chaos as MrBeast graced the castaways with his presence. Rick Devens started the episode from the bottom after coming clean about his fake idol. But by the end of it, he felt on top of the world for delivering a massive advantage to the group. But, after a truly divided Tribal Council, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick was voted out 8-2 against Aubry Bracco

Host Jeff Probst started Day 19 with the crowd-pleaser 'Survivor' auction. The 10 players were each given $500 to spend on items that would bring them comfort, chaos, or both. After running through a list of delicious food items and weird insects, Probst unveiled the last item of the auction, which required everyone to chip in $20. He revealed that the blind item delivered the best comfort and the biggest chaos in one. For the comfort part, the contestants received letters from their loved ones. As they braced themselves for its counterpart, the host brought out MrBeast to deliver the chaos.

The YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, aka MrBeast, arrived with a briefcase and announced that his chaos, titled the MrBeast Super Beware Advantage, will be unveiled at Tribal Council. The contestants then headed to this week's immunity challenge, which involved balancing on a beam while keeping the ball steady on a handheld arch. After three rounds, Tiffany won the challenge, earning this week's immunity. The 'Survivor 46' alum broke down in tears for outperforming her last stint on the show and lasting over 19 days.

With the uncertainty of MrBeast's twist looming large, the castaways scrambled to pick a clear target. Jonathan led the charge against Ozzy, considering him a bigger threat than the easy vote of Devens. He lied to Stephenie about Ozzy plotting against her to convince her, and also roped in Devens. But things took a turn when he consulted Joe, who wanted to take out Devens for his fake idol ruse. Joe informed Cirie about the plan to vote out Ozzy, but she had his back. She suggested nominating Stephenie, who decided to target Cirie in return. All in all, the names of Ozzy, Cirie, Rizo, Aubry, Devens, and Stephenie were floated before the contestants headed to Tribal Council.

Sensing the target on his back, Devens jumped into his chaos survival mode and disclosed the whole strategy to Jeff at Tribal Council, leaving everyone annoyed. But he got the chance to redeem himself after MrBeast opened his briefcase to reveal a golden coin. On one side of the coin was MrBeast’s logo (heads), and on the other side were torches to represent Survivor (tails). The host then revealed the twist: One contestant will have to flip the coin and call it. If it lands on their chosen side, they will be safe from elimination, get an immunity idol, and the prize money will be doubled to $2 million. But if the coin lands on the other side, they will be eliminated without a vote-out, and the money will stay at $1 million.

With such high stakes, no one was willing to take the risk, except Devens. Tension built as he flipped the coin in the air and called Heads. Everyone watched with bated breath as the coin landed on Heads. Devens was safe from elimination this week. More importantly, the group erupted in joy as the prize money was doubled. During the vote-out, Stephenie used her steal a vote to snatch Devens' vote, and wrote Aubry's name twice. But it was not enough as everyone else voted against her. She was voted out unanimously and joined the jury as its fifth member alongside Dee Valladares, Benjamin 'Coach' Wade, Chrissy Hofbeck, and Christian Hubicki.
