'Survivor 50' Episode 10 Preview: MrBeast brings mystery box twist to auction and fans are nervous
The currently ongoing Season 50 of 'Survivor' on CBS has been hitting all the right spots so far. For a reality television show of such magnitude, coming up with new tricks and challenges to keep the ratings game going strong often proves a formidable task. The idea of bringing in celebrities from other fields to bolster audience interest in 'Survivor' is quite a slippery slope, as the recent special episode featuring country singer Zac Brown proved. Now, as the social media celebrity MrBeast gears up for his own cameo in the upcoming episode 10, airing on April 29, titled ‘A Side Dish of Chaos.’ Here we take a look at everything that can be expected.
Maybe in another time, the idea of MrBeast appearing in a cameo on 'Survivor 50' could have been a good idea. Originally named James Stephen Donaldson, MrBeast today commands massive popularity across multiple social media platforms. However, his predecessor in this regard, i.e., Brown, has already muddied the waters for him. Brown's appearance was riddled with the spotlight extending majorly to him at the expense of the other contestants, which understandably caused a lot of consternation among the audience. It is expected that there will be an auction in the upcoming episode of the CBS show. Moreover, as part of the auction, MrBeast will show up with a mystery box. It has also been confirmed that MrBeast and his mystery box will be present at the tribal council on the show.
Therefore, if one were to speculate, perhaps the contestants would be allowed to bid on the contents of the mystery box and would be kept in the dark until the tribal council convenes. On the other hand, producers of 'Survivor' have taken out the advantages of new-era auctions since most of the players were holding on to all of their money in hopes of having an advantage. In any case, it can be expected that MrBeast would not blitz across Fiji like Brown and would not be featured in so many confessionals as well.
The popular YouTuber previously appeared on the April 6 episode of ‘Rob Has A Podcast’ with Rob Cesterino, wherein he opened up about his ‘Survivor 50’ cameo when he said, “I can’t even talk about it. I can’t say anything. But you guys, just give it an honest try, I know — you’re not a fan of us cameos. You don’t like us. But trust me, ours isn’t just some silly cameo. You’ll like it, just come into it with an open mind, and give it a try.” MrBeast further added that he was hesitant to reveal any further details due to the several NDAs he had signed, and promised, “It’s not about me.”
