ARMADA, MICHIGAN: 'Battle On The Beach' Season 4 renovators Sean Kilgore and Samantha Leigh aka Sam Sutton are a husband and wife duo living in Michigan. The HGTV show stars spent their life savings to buy an abandoned 1860s farmhouse in Richmond and save it from demolition.
Samantha is a wedding photographer specialising in modern photography for the classic couple in love. Meanwhile, Sean has pursued a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Detroit Mercy. According to his LinkedIn, he co-founded the design/fabrication company, TAKD Design, in May 2023.
The HGTV show star has also worked as an estimator/project manager at Lutz Roofing Company, Inc. Samantha and Sean spotted a 50-year-old farmhouse in 2018 but it took a few years to bring the abode back to life. They started their renovation journey when the duo started dating each other.
The HGTV show couple exchanged vows and had their dream wedding on the property. Samantha and Sean are parents to a baby boy, a Bengal cat and a growing flock of chickens. Prior to the competition on 'Battle On The Beach', Sean and Samantha starred in HGTV's 'I Bought a Dump... Now What?' as homeowners.
When did Sean Kilgore and Samantha Leigh get married?
HGTV show couple Sean Kilgore and Samantha Leigh have been together for more than a decade. The couple sparked romance in January 2014 and moved in together in June 2021. The couple exchanged vows in September 2022 and would soon celebrate their third anniversary on the stunning farmhouse they renovated.
Sean and Samantha reflected on the farmhouse with a series of Instagram photos and noted, "I still cannot believe we made this house a home and were married on this dirt." They welcomed their son in fall 2023.

Samantha Leigh and Sean Kilgore are excited to compete in HGTV's 'Battle On The Beach' Season 4 for a whopping cash prize of $50,000. The couple took to their shared Instagram account and shared a sweet photo of themselves. The duo wrote in the caption, "WE’RE HEADED TO THE BEACH!!"
Samantha and Sean added, "This spring we went to Oak Island, NC and competed against two other insanely talented teams on this season of Battle on the Beach! We worked our tailssss off and met some of the coolest, most hard working renovators in the country."
The HGTV show couple added, "A huge thanks to our family that helped out with everything from Leighton to our cat and chickens, and to @hgtv for giving us the opportunity to show what we’re made of!"
