Elizabeth hails from Upstate New York and earned a Bachelor's degree in Communications from New York University in 2003. She also completed a Master's degree in Historic Preservation from Pratt Institute in 2008. Additionally, Elizabeth earned a year-long certified course in Interior Design from Milan's Istituto Europeo di Design.
Elizabeth has been passionate about saving old houses since childhood as she grew up in an 1850s home lovingly restored by her parents. Meanwhile, Ethan studied at Cherry Hill High School East in 2001. He has also earned a Bachelor's degree in Interactive Media from the Art Institute of Philadelphia.
The HGTV star then undertook numerous Graphic and Interactive Designer jobs before transitioning his career to renovation. Ethan's grandparent's house inspired him to restore the historic abodes. According to reports, Ethan's family decided to put his grandparents' old farmhouse in Deerfield on sale after his grandmother's death.
Ethan was devastated by his grandmother's death and decided to save the majestic property. He and Elizabeth purchased the property, preserved the antics and restored the house. Since then, the duo have started their own business.
