TREASURE ISLAND, FLORIDA: HGTV's 'Rock The Block' Season 5 airs on March 4, 2024. For this season, the series is shot in the beautiful location of Treasure Island in Florida.

Situated on Florida's Gulf Coast, north of St Pete Beach, Treasure Island lives up to its name with miles of white sand beaches, sparkling blue crystal waters, and plenty of activities for all.

One can explore the sea on a paddleboard or rent a kayak, go fishing, kite flying on the extra-wide beach, parasailing, take a stroll, skateboard, or ride a bike along the Treasure Island Beach Trail.

The Boca Ciega Bay is present in the east of the location. With all the modern amenities, nightlife is happening on Treasure Island.

An average one-week trip for a solo traveler will cost up to $1410. Host Ty Pennington has already given a sneak peek of the show.

However, the humid climate of Treasure Island becomes difficult for the home flippers.

The home designers renovate houses with their signature style within a specified time of 6 weeks and a fixed budget ($250,000).

The show features four teams of previous competitors, with the competition moving toward the beach. Previously, the show featured homes from South Carolina, Colorado, California, and Georgia.

The net highest appraised designer wins bragging rights and a street named in their honor.

What is unique about 'Rock The Block' Season 5?

The twist that is introduced in the season is that apart from other physical difficulties that the home renovators face, they will be facing a different challenge too.

This time, the properties that require renovation are waterfront-located in Treasure Island, Florida. They need to have pretty coastal creative home ideas to win the competition.

Each team will have six weeks and a tight budget of $250,000 to renovate the waterfront homes featuring pools, decks, and many more amenities.

They have to transform the Boca Ciega Bay-facing worn-down properties into luxurious spaces ready for sale.
